    At the bottom of the steps from the cottage, there is a wonderful café, whilst a pub is a short walk away. You can stroll to the beach and take in the views or away from the village there is a plethora of fun days to be found. The South West Coast Path offers beautiful walks and provides outstanding clifftop vistas, whilst the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan and unique Biomed Eden Project are must-visits. To the north lies Charlestown, timeless and with its small fleet of tall ships, a popular location for many films and TV series. There are some excellent restaurants here and the Shipwreck Museum.
    The town of St. Austell has many amenities and shops, along with many visual links to the once incredible mining industry here, whilst inland the town of Bodmin, with its chilling jail experience and heritage railway await you. The Moor of the same name offers mystical and atmospheric surroundings with its tors and rock formations. Beach 200 yards.

It is rarely crowded and can also be viewed from the balcony and lounge. The double aspect living room is bright and sumptuously furnished with a large Smart TV and sofas.     Crantock occupies a breath-taking position in Newquay on the Pentire headland with outstanding, forever changing, views across Fistral beach, at low tide there are acres of golden sand and the clear blue sea with its brilliant colours drifting from magical turquoise to ultramarine. Newquay golf club is a 15-minute walk away as is the bustling town centre. To get to Crantock beach, (not suitable for the less mobile, pushchairs or wheelchairs), there is a footpath and then steps down to a ferry landing stage from where you can take a very small foot ferry over to Crantock beach. Otherwise you would need to drive round to Crantock. You are guaranteed to have that holiday feeling the instant you arrive at your destination. Beach ½ mile.

    The Elizabethan harbour of Boscastle is infamous for the floods of 2004 which devastated the village. Now it is once again picture perfect with a delightful selection of gift shops, public houses, cafes, restaurants, and hotels. Boscastle has one of the most outstanding sections of the coast path with majestic promontories, crashing surf, secluded coves, and long beaches with soft, golden sand. The stunning towns of Port Isaac, Rock and Padstow are a short drive to the west and are well worth a trip.
    On Bodmin Moor, Dozmary pond is thought to contain Arthur’s Excalibur, and Merlin is thought to be still found walking under Tintagel Island. Camelford is a great centre for touring, walking, fishing, swimming, or surfing holidays. The town is steeped in history and has excellent shopping and sporting facilities. Lots of tiny coves along the headland both north and south, like Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay, Tintagel and the famous Polzeath.
