Visit Kendal Museum, dating back to 1796, which houses historical archaeology and the largest taxidermy collection in Europe. Abbott Hall is ideal for art lovers, set in picturesque grounds on the bank of the River Kent. Other historic sites include Kendal Castle dating back to the 12th century.

    Kendal is an old market town famous for its annual Mountain Festival, the ultimate social gathering for all those who love the outdoors. It is is also famous for its mint cake, the first energy bar produced over 100 years ago. In just 20 minutes by car, you can reach Windermere, and in 30 minutes, Ambleside.
