Located on the coastal road between Woodbridge and Snape in the Suffolk coastal area of outstanding beauty. This Victorian farm cottage was built in 1872 and is located close to many of the best tourist attractions in Suffolk.
The cottage is full of character being a period building, it has a beautiful log burner and traditional comfortable furnishings with a modern, contemporary and clean decor. There is a small bathroom downstairs with a bath and a powerful hot shower too, there are three spacious bedrooms although the cottage comfortably hosts up to four people. The garden is large with comfortable outdoor furniture for you to enjoy your coffee at sunrise and wine at sunset. A flock of curious, funny, welcoming and happy hens and a cockerel live on the property and lay THE BEST eggs for your breakfast, which you are welcome to collect and eat. If you could feed them each morning, the owner would greatly appreciate it.
There are so many attractions nearby such as the UFO walk in the well-known Rendlesham forest, the famous “Sutton Hoo” viking burial site (Netflix made a popular series about it) 5 minutes down the road. We are only 13 minutes away from the nearest beach, shingle street, and 18 minutes from Aldeburgh, a popular tourist destination. In addition to a plethora of top-quality restaurants, pubs, and Michelin star eateries, Woodbridge was voted the best place to live in the east in 2021. You can kayak, paddle board and wild swim in the rivers and seas. Woodbridge and Ufford park have lovely golf courses if you fancy a round. Shop 1/2-mile, Pub 200 Yards. Beach 10 miles.

This stunning pet friendly holiday home is located in Stowupland in central Suffolk close to the market town of Stowmarket which enjoys a main line train link to London Liverpool Street. It is within easy driving distance of the cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket the home of racing, Cambridge, Clare, Long Melford and Lavenham to the west and the Heritage Coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Woodbridge and Thorpeness to the east.

The village of Hoxne, 5 minutes’ drive (2 miles) has a pub with restaurant, a village post office, deli and shop. Country walks are available all around and the Suffolk heritage coastline has fabulous beaches to enjoy. Explore Southwold, a fantastic seaside town with pier, historic lighthouse and high street lined with independent shops and boutiques. RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Heath offer opportunities for spotting birds and connecting with wildlife, with excellent walks available. For a quieter sandy beach, head to Covehithe, and for great days out, visit Snape Maltings, Framlingham Castle, Eye Castle, Halesworth Museum, Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens and Easton Farm Park.
The vibrant market towns of Bungay and Beccles boast independent boutiques and chain shops and the weekly market is excellent for all things local. At Beccles there is an open air heated outdoor swimming pool, popular with many local swimmers and gateway to the famous Norfolk Broads National Park. The surrounding area offers an excellent collection of eateries, including fine dining to many cafés serving home-made cakes and savouries to delight many palates. Beach 28 miles. Round House East is a beautifully unique and dog-friendly self-catering holiday cottage for two in Veryan, Cornwall.

This attractive, detached, single-storey holiday cottage stands on the banks of the trout-filled River Avon. Occasional dry fly fishing can be arranged with prior arrangement with the owner. There will be an additional charge for this.

The surrounding area is full of picturesque villages, and across the river is the 16th-century Heale House with 8 acres of beautiful gardens. Nearby is Stonehenge, and the lesser known neolithic site of Woodhenge. Salisbury has Britain’s finest medieval cathedral with the best preserved original Magna Carta. Shop, pub 1 mile.

Shewte Farm is an elegant, Grade II listed, galleried stone barn and has a floor-to-ceiling picture window offering spectacular views over Dartmoor. Sleeping six comfortably in three spacious bedrooms, it has an open plan living space with French limestone floor, underfloor heating and a wood burner. It has been furnished throughout with characterful antiques and the highest quality linen. Guests also have use of the adjoining games barn and the tree house.
The location is idyllic and ever so peaceful, set in the middle of 80 acres of fields, woods and streams set between the National Park and National Trust land. The area is exceptionally rich in wildlife including buzzards, deer, otters (part of National England Otter Survey) and sky larks, as well as England’s largest collection of bog myrtle. The location is perfect for walking or cycling on Dartmoor, visiting numerous beaches or National Trust properties. Wroxham is 17 miles away and is known as the ’Capital of the Broads’. Hiring a boat is arguably the best way to explore one of Britain’s finest wetlands or you can enjoy a river trip. Nature lovers are advised to bring binoculars, as the Norfolk Broads are home to a diverse range of fora and fauna. Keep your eyes peeled for otters, kingfishers or the elusive bittern (one of the rarest species of birds in the UK).
National Trust properties in the vicinity include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park and Horsey Windpump. Nearby is the Bure Valley Railway Line, a nostalgic 18-mile round trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway, running through pretty countryside between the historic market towns of Aylsham and Wroxham, stopping at Buxton, Coltishall for on/off exploring by foot and Alby Crafts Museum. Norwich city is 15 miles away and has a cathedral and a 12th-century Norman castle.
Families with young children will enjoy trips to the Dinosaur Adventure Park, Pensthopre (nature reserve, indoor and outdoor adventure playgrounds) BeWILDerwood (tree top and woodland adventure park), and Holt Country Park with miles of trails to explore; seasonal activities held during school holidays like mini beast safaris, treasure hunts and guided ranger walks.
