Swallow Barn (ref UK37055) has a wonderfully unique design with a mezzanine bedroom, heavily beamed interior and sociable open plan layout. Both have been stylishly furnished with modern country décor and have everything needed for a warm and comfortable stay.

The surrounding Cheshire countryside means lovely walks are available direct from the door, and a traditional food serving pub is just 1 mile down the road. Boasting 40 flavours of ice-cream is ’The Ice Cream Farm’ which is a mere 5-minute drive, and Beeston Castle can be reached in around 10 minutes. The village of Huxley is just 8 miles from the wonderful historical city of Chester, where you’ll find the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain. Delamere Forest, Carden Park and Oulton Park Circuit are all around a 20-minute drive and the city of Liverpool and Albert Docks can be reached in under an hour. Newly renovated in 2022 you will find that wonderful care and attention has been taken to retain original features where possible, both inside and out. Perfect for couples, friends, small families and pets. We also cater to those who would like a holiday with their horse using the onsite equestrian facilities of Cheshire Racehorse Retraining (at additional cost agreed separately) and to those attending or competing at local equestrian events.
Barn Two has an open plan combined dining, kitchen, and living room area. The living room features a 4-seat sofa, foot stool and Freeview TV with direct access to front and rear patio areas, there is also a separate toilet. Upstairs there are two comfortable double bedrooms, with wardrobes and bedside tables, which both open out onto the staircase landing to enter the bathroom.
Sandbach is a historic and charming town that can be found in wonderful South Cheshire. It offers all the best requisites of modern living with shops, bars and restaurants catering for most tastes. Day Green Barns is in close proximity to the M6 motorway, which makes it an ideal location for easy access to attractions throughout Cheshire, and the surrounding counties. The surrounding area boasts a wide range of attractions including the National Trusts sites, equestrian venues such as Somerford park, numerous walks in locations such as the peak district and Delamere Forest.

A warm welcome at Oakenbank barn awaits you with its open plan living area with a modern kitchen alongside a dining table to seat all guests. A relaxing wood burner can be enjoyed in the living space with comfy seating and a wall mounted television, so you don’t miss out on those favourite programmes. Within the open plan space guests can choose to stay in the double four poster bed whilst the wood burner crackles away. The galleried area in the barn has two single beds for guests and a modern family bathroom can be found downstairs for guests. There are stunning, uninterrupted views down the valley which can be enjoyed whilst seated on the patio furniture in the lovely courtyard of this pretty barn.


When ready to get out and about in the local area, you can choose to walk straight from the front door to start your day with a visit to the Ingersley Vale Waterfall or popular local landmark white Nancy, or maybe just a short drive away for a hike up Macc View for outstanding scenery. History buffs will relish in a trip to the nearby town of Macclesfield where they can discover the rich and captivating history of Armoury Towers and Fence Alms Houses or the Priests House that rests in the quintessential village of Prestbury.


Nearby Macclesfield is a market town and civil parish resting in Cheshire, England, on the outer fringes of the Peak District National Park. Boasting a wide range of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience, as well as some shops and supermarkets for picking up any last-minute essentials and indulging in a shopping spree, also offering Pott Shrigley (only 1 mile away) Tytherington (approximately 4miles) and Macclesfield Golf Club (approximately 5miles). The Peak District National Park offers a large number of country sites with ample walking and cycling opportunities. Further afield is the thriving city of Manchester which boasts plenty of popular tourist attractions, including Old Trafford stadium if you’re a Manchester United fan, or the Etihad stadium for the blue half of manchester, the popular theatre and art museum The Lowry and even family-friendly activities.
