Old pitch pine beams stretch unhindered through bedrooms and across stairways and the local slate and sandstone are in evidence throughout. Guests are welcomed with fresh flowers, along with well furnished comfortable holiday accommodation, wood-burning stoves and well-equipped kitchens. For good walking, fells nearby include High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 10 miles. The market town of Penrith, 5 miles; whilst the attractions of Keswick are 14 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

There are many walking and cycling opportunities to be had from the door including easy access to Binsey Fell which provides a thrilling viewpoint from the summit. There is interest wildlife to be seen in close proximity including deer, and red squirrels.

This terraced house, built from local Lakeland stone, has has been furnished to a good standard , it is situated in the heart of Keswick and is perfect for a memorable family break. This spacious property boasts high ceilings and offers a great social space on the ground floor. It features a cosy living room with a 40" Smart TV. Leading off from the living room is a large, separate dining room which is just perfect for a family feast after a day on the fells, and even has a DAB radio and Bluetooth speaker so you can listen to your favourite tunes while you enjoy a glass of wine and play a board game. At the rear there is an enclosed garden with patio and sitting-out area, as well as an equipment store which doubles up as a drying room for your wet walking gear. For family fun visit Puzzling Place, a mind boggling attraction based on optical illusions, ½ mile, or take a trip to Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world, ¾ mile. If you enjoy culture, The Theatre By The lake offers a stunning Lakeside location, or you can take a rowing boat out on Derwentwater, ¾ mile.
