Cark and Cartmel Railway Station is only a 15-minute walk from the property. Why not visit the historic village of Cartmel, famous for horseracing and Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding.
There’s so much to do in the area, with an abundance of walks, cycling routes, local pubs, great shopping, and stunning scenery. The village is only a short drive from the popular Victorian town of Grange-over-Sands and just a few miles from the southern tip of Lake Windermere, providing easy access to the Lakeland fells. Situated an acre of beautiful gardens and only a stone’s throw from the lake, with walks from the doorstep, including Aira Force where you can enjoy stunning views of Ullswater along the way. There is much to do and see around Ullswater, from the spectacular Aira Force waterfall, to walks on the high fells or cruises round the lake on the Ullswater steamers.

Located in the beautiful and tranquil Eden Valley, Delmonte is on the outskirts of Langwathby, with its train station on the fabulous Carlisle to Settle line, a lovely local pub, which serves both excellent food and is just a short stroll away from the cottage. This ground floor bungalow has large airy rooms and with its elevated position, comes with fantastic views onto the village and onto the peaks of the Lake District. The Eden Valley nestles between the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines, Cumbria’s ‘hidden gem’, which maintains the illusion of untouched remoteness despite its extremely accessible location.
