Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

This delightful cottage can be found on the edge of the Peak District in the picturesque village of Cutthorpe, down a private country lane on the owner’s non-working farm of 2 acres. Green Farm is surrounded by fields, woodland, footpaths and bridleways with direct access to the Linacre Reservoirs and Holmebrook Country Park. Tawny Owl Barn is a beautifully converted stone barn, situated over two floors, retaining many original features. The ground floor lays claim to a cosy living room complete with a warming wood burner, leather sofas, exposed stone walls and wooden beams. There is also a fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, a great social space with a large dining table so you can have a home cooked meal with all the family, as well as a single bedroom with an oak sliding barn door. Head upstairs where you will find two en-suite bedrooms with varnished, natural wooden floors, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Double glazed and centrally heated throughout, this barn is perfect for families and groups all year round.
Outside, there is a fully enclosed private garden with a patio table and chairs, a barbeque and views over open countryside. There is a gate giving access to the fully enclosed hot tub (which is available all year for an additional charge, payable locally). This also includes the supply of additional towels and dressing gowns. We have a one acre paddock to exercise your dog in. Up to two well behaved dogs.
Cutthorpe has two pubs within walking distance that are dog friendly and serve food. It has a pretty village green and benefits from panoramic views over Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. The village is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park, yet is only 3 miles from The popular market town of Chesterfield. Its perfect location allows you to explore historic houses, walking, cycling and visiting the tourist towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton, Eyam and Hathersage. If its stately homes, castles and gardens you would like to visit, the magnificent Chatsworth House is only 10 minutes drive away; the grounds and house will provide a full day out. Within 30 minutes you can also visit Packwood house, Bolsover castle, Renishaw hall, Haddon hall and Hardwick hall.

For those that are more active, there are numerous options varying from local walks from your door, to more adventurous walks in the Peak District. Cyclists are also well catered for with a variety of road and off road tracks and trails. Additionally there is shooting, canoeing, horse riding, go ape, abseiling, climbing, fishing and golf all available nearby. Alternatively you can just relax and enjoy the tranquillity that Green Farm offers. The nearest shop is 2 miles, café 1½ miles, post office, doctors are all available locally.
Tawny Owl Barn (ref 18220) can be booked together with the Old Cow Shed (ref UKC2608) and The Pig Sty (ref W44184) to accommodate up to 11 guests.

Within easy reach of the picturesque market town of Ashbourne with its many opportunities for shopping, dining and the annual arts festival, the property makes an ideal holiday base from which to explore the many attractions and activities of the Peak District. The stunning scenery of Dove Dale and the Manifold Valley makes perfect walking or cycling country and Carsington Water offers abundant water sports. For a fun family day out Alton Towers is only 11 miles distant. Shops 4 miles, pub 300 yards.

Set in the most fabulous elevated position, Rock Cottage really is a hidden gem in the very heart of the Peak District National Park. Located in the picturesque village of Birchover, with its scattering of inviting village pubs, this comfortable, detached cottage certainly has a lot to offer its guests. Wonderful accommodation and views really do make Rock Cottage a lovely place to stay.

There are many trails which start straight from the front door, an ideal opportunity to park the car, put the car keys away and just relax! Birchover is a historic village within easy reach of Matlock and Matlock Bath, and local to Chatsworth House and many other historic attractions. The charming market town of Bakewell is also close by as is Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens. Based in the Peak District National Park, Rock Cottage really is a great base from which to explore the beauty of the region’s peaks, dales, rivers, cycle trails and network of footpaths. Set around a pretty courtyard in the charming medieval village of Over Haddon, Damsels Bower is a wonderful limestone barn conversion, boasting an impressive cathedral style, high vaulted ceiling and galleried living area, with one of the bedrooms overlooking the living area/kitchen below. On the edge of Lathkill Dale Nature Reserve, in the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park, there is fabulous walking available direct from the door. The Monsal Trail is just 4 miles down the road, providing a traffic free cycle to Buxton. Over Haddon village has a good local pub serving food and the ever popular market town of Bakewell is just 2 miles away with extensive amenities. The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall can be reached in around 15 minutes, and other Peak District towns and villages such as Eyam, Castleton, Matlock and Hathersage within half an hour. Finally for those thrill seekers, Alton Towers is around a 45-minute drive. Shop 2¼ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Perfect for couples and small families alike, North View provides cosy holiday accommodation in the popular and picturesque Peak District village of Bradwell. In a delightful location at the top of a narrow village lane, this charming, semi-detached cottage benefits from spectacular far-reaching views towards Win Hill, Bamford Edge and beyond. In the spacious living/dining room you’ll find a wood burner for that extra touch of warmth in the chillier winter months. For the long summer days you can relax on the attractive patio area and fully appreciate the superb open views.

A short walk downhill will take you to the heart of Bradwell, with its shops, pubs and places to eat. Bradwell is also famous for its ice-cream that’s made in the village. Nestled at the bottom of its own limestone dale in the Hope Valley, Bradwell is surrounded by some fabulous countryside. The beautiful honeypot village of Castleton is around a 10-minute drive, as is the large village of Tideswell. In Hathersage, also 10 minutes’, you’ll find excellent amenities together with a seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield is the ever popular market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and the spa town of Buxton, which can all be reached in under half an hour. Finally, Alton Towers Theme Park can be reached in around an hour. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Silcrest is an outstanding, semi-detached stone-built cottage in the picturesque village of Baslow. It is wonderfully appointed and many of the original features have been upheld, creating a fantastic feeling throughout, ideal for families and friends to get together and discover all that this amazing area within the tranquil and stunning Derbyshire Dales countryside has to offer. Enter into the welcoming entrance hall with original oak latched door, which leads to an open plan dining\kitchen area with a designer kitchen providing everything that you will need for some delicious home cooking, with shaker-style dining table comfortably seating six. The cosy living room with comfortable sofas and a coal effect fire in an original local stone hearth, makes a lovely place to chill out in the evening. The cottage boasts three bedrooms and a bathroom. The large sunroom to the side of the house is also ideal for the dogs to eat and sleep in. The utility room has a washing machine and extra space for drying wet clothes and outdoor wear, also an ideal area to take off your boots after a long day exploring. Outside and to the front is a pretty country garden, whilst to the rear is a charming enclosed garden which is a fabulous spot for some al fresco dining with French doors opening directly from the kitchen/dining room. Nestling on the northern fringe of Chatsworth Park, the attractive village of Baslow is close to some of the Dark Peak’s most dramatic scenery. Baslow lies on the banks of the River Derwent and is home to cafés and restaurants including a Michelin-starred restaurant. It’s conveniently located and is very popular with visitors keen to explore nearby Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Bakewell and the Monsal Trail. This is an excellent base for walking and exploring some of the area’s finest countryside, including its famous gritstone edges, such as Baslow, Curbar and Froggatt - all boasting breathtaking views across surrounding hills, valleys and moorland. Close by you will find Bakewell an attractive little market town retaining a delightful rural atmosphere and offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as local farmers’ markets. There is an old 17th century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain’s premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall, to, mention just a few, while the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and Little John’s burial place in Hathersage are also well worth a visit. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the impressive Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium. Shop 400 yards, Pub 800 yards and restaurant 50 yards.

Outside is a private patio with seating and hot tub, where you and your loved one can soak up the sun whilst admiring the surroundings. If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic base, a short walk will bring you to a local pub serving food, whilst the nearby town of Chesterfield offers a larger selection of pubs and good restaurants.

The historic market town of Chesterfield acts as the gateway to the Peak District, and has much to offer visitors. The town is famous for its 14th-century church with its crooked spire twisting curiously from its centre, while the town offers guests the opportunity to explore the market and many of the specialist shops dotted in and out of the shambles. The town also boasts Queens Park, with its lake, walks and summer bandstand, as well as a museum and theatre. Close by you will find the impressive Elizabethan Hardwick Hall, with its six grand towers elaborately monogramed with Bess of Hardwick’s initials, overlooking the superb gardens and walled courtyards of the grounds. Also popular with visitors is the semi-ruined 17th-century mansion of Bolsover Castle, set high on a wooded hilltop, looking west towards the heights of the Peak District.

Within easy reach you will discover attractions such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, Matlock and Bakewell, or the opera house at Buxton. Alternatively, the Peak District offers a magnitude of walks and cycling for those feeling active. As the gateway to the Hope Valley, you’re also close to excellent walking at Edale, and just 10 minutes from the beautiful village of Castleton. The fascinating plague village of Eyam is around a 15-minute drive; Bakewell and Chatsworth House are around 20 minutes. Finally, for anyone wanting to give their cars a rest, Hathersage train station is less than ½ mile and serves the cities of both Manchester and Sheffield directly, together with Bamford, Hope and Edale.
