All the properties at Horselake have a private garden or courtyard, whilst enjoying the freedom to roam the grounds and make the most of the shared facilities. Ideal for exploring South Devon with its stunning coastline, and resorts such as Dawlish and Teignmouth. Rugged Dartmoor is only a short drive, and many family attractions are within easy reach including National Trust-owned Castle Drogo, Fingle Bridge, the Teign Gorge, and Canonteign Falls and Country Park. The properties are within 10 miles of the old cathedral city of Exeter, with its many varied attractions including a racecourse, shopping, antique shops, guided tours and a host of summer festivals. Boasting lovely on-site fishing lakes and a children’s play area, Moor Farm Stable Cottages offers something for everyone. Located on their working beef farm, the owners have worked hard to make sure these terraced barns have a traditional farmhouse feel, which is in keeping with the site, and all are well equipped to provide a great base for your holiday.
Those seeking ground floor accommodation will enjoy the Stable Cottages (refs UKC3741, UKC3742, UKC3743, UKC3744, UKC3745 and UKC3746). Stable Cottage 8 (ref UKC3747) is also arranged on one floor but there is a flight of stairs to take you up to it. Littlewoods Barn (ref UKC3737) and Baileys Barn (ref UKC3738) are also both single storey and enjoy a quiet position that is just a five-minute walk from the farm and all its great facilities. The Old Workshop (ref UKC3740) is on-site and offers light and airy accommodation for up to eight guests, and Dairy Cottage (ref UKC3735) and Pond Cottage (ref UKC3736) both boast a range ideal for cooking delicious meals. Dating back over 300 years, Moor Farm Cottage (ref UKC3734) has a lovely open fire to relax around, and Church Farm Barn (ref UKC3739) offers a cosy wood burner.
Keen fisherman will enjoy the on-site lakes and ponds, and fishing is included in your stay so there are no supplements to pay; also included is access to the children’s play area so you really won’t have to venture too far to have a great holiday. If you can tear yourself away, you will find yourself in Wells-next-the-Sea in just under half an hour. Here there is a lovely mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, restaurants, cafés, pubs and amusements. There is also a narrow gauge railway that takes you to the gorgeous wide, sandy beach and a much photographed quay. Equidistant is the bustling coastal market town of Sheringham, with Sheringham Park, North Norfolk Railway and two museums. Head along the coast and visit Cromer with its famous Edwardian seafront and pier. Travel east or west along this stunning coastline and you will find a chain of pretty seaside towns and villages offering marshes, beaches and quays. Make time for a trip to the medieval city of Norwich, with its splendid Norman castle, museums and guided ghost walks. Go shopping in the Norwich Lanes, alleyways of colourful independent shops, and then enjoy a meal, perhaps before taking in a show at one of the theatres. Set near the breathtakingly beautiful North Devon Coast running on ground and air source renewable energy, this friendly, family run complex is peacefully located within 10 acres of grounds with outstanding views over the glorious Devon countryside. Something for all the family awaits you here at St Leonards. Choose one of the four lovely barn conversions for your family holiday and learn something new during your stay here. The barns are located on a horse riding school, where all the family are encouraged to give horse riding a try. Once in the saddle you will want to take it up when you get back home. The lovely heated outdoor swimming pool is a great hit with families with children, and the Jacuzzi and sauna are favourites with adults. St Leonards certainly is a holiday base with a difference, situated in a wooded valley, it provides a comfortable and relaxing holiday for people of all ages though out the entire year. All the cottages are set on the edge of a courtyard over looking the stables and surrounded by 23 acres of private grounds which is also home to a ½-acre coarse fishing lake, or for something more energetic why not take part in a game of paintball available on site. There is plenty of birdlife here including kingfishers, so you often awaken to the sound of the dawn chorus!

It is an ideal location for touring the both north and south Cornish coasts and close to the Devon/Cornwall border so you can explore both counties from one base. Whether you wish to take it easy in our pool and bbq area, have a swim, ride a horse, try paintball or even go fishing on the River Kensey close by, there is plenty to keep you entertained and make you want to get out and about and feel invigorated by the fresh Cornish air. Out and about in the region you can head west by car to the Widemouth Heritage Coast and visit mystical Tintagel and Port Isaac Bay, or head east towards Dartmoor’s wilderness; whichever direction you travel in there is sure to be something new to see. Launceston, 2 miles, once the ancient capital of Cornwall, has shops, a steam railway, castle, golf and an indoor leisure centre. A variety of golf courses locally.
