The side door of this property opens straight into the cosy lounge with comfy sofas that you can curl up on in front of the wood burner and enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. From the lounge, walk through to the formal dining room with a dining table and seating for six before entering the light and bright kitchen/dining room with two sets of French doors out into the garden. The kitchen/diner offers everything you’ll need for whipping up delicious meals with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. While cooking, chefs can chat to other guests sitting at the large farmhouse table in the dining area, where there is also a Smart TV. A traditional Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and toasty and is the perfect spot for your four-legged friend to curl up in front of. There is also a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and toilet. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious kingsize with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet and two double bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet.

Take a stroll to the nearby brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection; there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich ’Oare Wildlife Marshes’ is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

Coastguard Cottage is in a unique location on the coast of Swalecliffe near Whitstable. Boasting sea views from each room, the property has bi-fold doors opening onto decking where guests can enjoy sitting on the decking and overlooking the Thames Estuary. For a trip further afield, guests can take a ferry from Dover to the port of Calais in France, enjoy lunch in the city or take time for sightseeing. The local animal reserve of Howletts, known for contributing to the conservation of endangered wildlife, offers the opportunity to see lions, tigers, monkeys and much more. The railway station in Sandwich offers a high speed service into London, plus the opportunity to visit France from either Dover or Folkestone with the Eurostar or ferry. A stunning property, with a private hot tub, set in a secluded rural location within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Overloooking the Alkham Valley, it is located on a 50-acre working farm, with horses, rare breed sheep and alpacas. It adjoins the owners’ home at one side of the livery yard. Steps lead from the terrace and hot tub down to a paddock, which is backed by woodland and is an ideal place for enjoying a picnic. In the cooler weather or in the evenings, you can light the wood burner, settle down in front of the huge cinema screen and open the popcorn! For animal lovers, Port Lympne Zoo and Howletts Zoo make great days out, whilst Canterbury is a ½-hour drive. Visit the magnificent cathedral there, or take a boat or punt out on the River Stour. A stone’s throw from the Royal Military canal, where you can explore by water, with rowing boats and kayaks to hire. Wander down the cobbled and historic high street dotted with independent shops, quaint tea rooms and cafés, and a great choice of restaurants to explore, just a few minutes’ walk from Hydrangea House, you couldn’t be in a better position to explore all that Hythe has to offer.

Built in 1875, Hamilton Lodge is a Victorian house featuring its own elegant turret. Each room has been designed to have a different theme from a classic antique feel to modern contemporary.
The Lodge is built over three floors with loads of space for between 12 and 15 guests, not counting babies and dogs. Many original features have been maintained, including the lead glass in the entrance hall which has been used as a colour scheme for the interior design. Breathtakingly high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers crown the reception rooms.
The large sitting room is spacious and has comfortable seating to allow all guests to come together for movie nights, whilst the elegant library allows for some quiet space. The large open plan living space at the back of the house is ideal for socialising, cooking, dining and just chilling and chatting. The sliding doors open out onto the garden to create a large space for entertaining.
On the upper floors, Hamilton Lodge has six bedrooms. Bedroom 1 boasting a rocking chair in the turret, and a chaise longue. The three bathrooms all have under floor heating and allow ample space and convenience for all guests. There are side sea views from some of the bedrooms, as the sea is just a few yards away.

Westgate on Sea is a friendly seaside town which boasts a wide sandy beach, local shops and cafes and a lovely old-fashioned independent cinema.
There is a well known path called the Viking Trail which passes through Westgate on Sea and offers a lovely coastal foot and cycle path from Reculver to Ramsgate. Margate is about a 20-minute coastal walk, or is a short five-minute drive, or train ride.

This beautiful luxury house is a stone’s throw from the beach and a very short drive away from some lovely pubs, restaurants and cafés in Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury. The Cottage has commanding, stunning views across the English Channel. This attractive, spacious, family home for all seasons is the ideal property for a relaxing holiday with both friends or relatives.

There is a private hot tub at The Cottage, and the property offers 2 games rooms, 1 in the house with children’s toys, a library, games and 2 table football tables. There is a large, second games room in the garage next to the house which offers a number of activities including: table tennis, pool table, darts, bows and arrows, basketball (outside the garage). These games rooms also feature a kitchenette with a fridge, and seating area with a large sofa, ideal for all ages. Please note this games room is not heated.
A decked terrace runs the length of the property, an ideal spot for soaking up the sun or relax after a brisk winter walk in front of a glowing log burner in the cosy living room, overlooking the frothing waves. Four of the six bedrooms have sea views and the other two have attractive garden views.
The white chalk cliff above St Margaret’s Bay is said to be the first place the sun reaches each morning on mainland Britain! The beach is famous for being the closest point to France and is the spot where Channel swimmers begin their marathon 21 mile swim.
The village itself offers good pubs, restaurants and local shop within walking distance. The coastal path leads to the famous White Cliffs of Dover, gateway to England and now one of the UK’s protected Heritage coasts offering some of the best cliff coastal walking in the country. The lighthouse is the place where Marconi transmitted his first radio broadcast to France. Closer to France than London, bring a passport, catch a ferry from Dover and visit the French markets in Calais and Boulogne for the day.
