While cooking, chefs can chat to other guests sitting at the large farmhouse table in the dining area, where there is also a Smart TV. A traditional Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and toasty and is the perfect spot for your four-legged friend to curl up in front of. There is also a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and toilet. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious kingsize with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet and two double bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet.

Take a stroll to the nearby brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection; there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich ’Oare Wildlife Marshes’ is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

Situated in the village of Hadlow, there are many countryside walks and cycle routes, perfect for ramblers and cyclists alike. Hadlow is a village in the borough of Tonbridge which is in between Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. The centre of which is a conservation area with many listed buildings alongside a range of shops including pubs and restaurants. On the outskirts of the village is Hadlow College of Agriculture boasting Broadview Gardens within its grounds which offers acres of landscaped gardens and a garden centre, both open to the public.

If you fancy exploring further afield then a trip into Tonbridge provides you with retail therapy, Tonbridge Castle, Oast House Theatre, a trip along the river and even a distillery. There is also a mainline railway station offering access to several towns. London Bridge train and tube, Waterloo East and Charing Cross stations are less than 45 minutes away. If you prefer, you can also head south on the train towards the coast to Hastings to visit the seaside and the historic Old Town. There are many National Trust and English Heritage sites to discover. The Goat Shed really does offer the best of both worlds, a central spot to access lots of attractions for a fun packed holiday or a place to hideaway offering a break from a busy lifestyle.

Perfect for families wanting a beach holiday, ramblers and dog walkers for long walks or bird watchers with RSPB Dungeness nature reserve nearby. If you prefer to hire a bike in Dungeness, you can cycle over Europe’s largest expanse of shingle.

Gull House really does offer something for everyone. The mixture of scenery is set within the backdrop of Dungeness lighthouse which assisted ships in trouble in the English Channel up until 1960. From the top of the lighthouse, you will be able to see miles across both Dungeness and Romney Marsh. You can watcht the sun rise from the back garden. A hop over the tracks leads you to the local pub within a few steps along with a fresh seafood shop also selling other groceries opposite. Should you wish to explore further afield then towns such as Rye, Camber, New Romney, and Ashford are all a short drive away and offer a variety of other attractions. Camber and its sand dunes stretching for miles offer an alternative to the shingle and the historic town of Rye with its cobbled streets and historic buildings makes for a great day out. Hythe to the east and Hastings to the west are both worth a visit.
