Should you be able to draw yourself away from Beachborough Park, there is so much to see and do within a short drive, from the charming town of Hythe with its pretty military canal, shingled beach and cobbled high street dotted with independent cafés, pubs, and shops, to the vibrant and creative town of Folkestone with sandy beach, bustling Harbour Arm with pop up restaurants and bars, and creative scene with individually owned shops and art galleries. For those who wish to explore further afield, the historic city of Canterbury is within a 30-minute drive, whilst the Channel Tunnel is nearby should a trip to the continent sound appealing.

Leighwood is a beautiful barn conversion set in a large properties grounds, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet only a 25-minute walk via bridleways away from multiple beaches and St George’s Royal Golf Course. This property is ideal for a couple who enjoy walking, visiting the local villages and towns or just going to the beach.
Within the grounds you have the ability to wander around and enjoy the stunning views surrounding you. A short walk away you have the options of various beaches and towns in Sandwich, Deal, Ramsgate and Dover. Ideal holiday base for walking, cycling, golf and horse riding and only 3 miles from Maidstone, the thriving county town of Kent. Visit the Archbishop’s Palace, a medieval building built for the Archbishops of Canterbury and now used for weddings. Leeds Castle, described by Lord Conway as the loveliest castle in the world, is close by. Take a trip on the River Medway through the Maidstone Millenium River Park up to Allington Lock. Maidstone leisure centre boasts 4 swimming pools and 2 water slides and is one of the best equipped leisure centres in the South East. Enjoy a show at the Hazlitt Theatre or visit one of the shopping centres including Fremlin Walk, built on the riverside site of the old Victorian Brewery. Mote Park offers 450 acres of mature parkland, hosts the Kent County Cricket and on Sundays offers rides on a miniature railway. Bearsted and Maidstone offer frequent train services up to London. The Coach House and Coachman’s Cottage are two stunning luxury properties located on a private estate in Sandwich Bay, Kent. The normal admission charge for visitors will be waived for all guests staying here, so you can enjoy the rural beach for as long as you wish. Coachman’s Cottage (ref UKC2773) is a quaint countryside cottage, accommodating four guests this property also offers Wi-Fi and open plan living, with a small enclosed courtyard with seating and barbecue for the summer months.
Nearby attractions include three championship golf courses, and includes Royal St George’s which will be hosting The Open in 2020. Sandwich Bay boasts a beautiful beach which is within walking distance. Fishing is also available locally. The nearby quiet medieval town of Sandwich has a delightful range of local shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. The railway station in Sandwich offers a high speed service into London, plus the opportunity to visit France from either Dover or Folkestone with the Eurostar or ferry. Nature lovers will enjoy a stay in Leveret Lodge. It is just minutes from the pretty Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve which is a unique area of wetland with marshes, reed beds, lakes and woodland that is home to a rich variety of wildlife, especially water birds. It also has over 6 kilometres of footpaths, including a circular walk around the whole site, with two super pubs on route, to stop off for refreshments.
This is also a great base for touring this exciting part of East Kent. Canterbury is a short drive away, and the lovely traditional coastal towns of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are also close at hand. You’ll be so spoilt for choice, you’ll want to stay longer!
Inside Leveret Lodge you will find a large, light, bright and spacious open plan living space with high vaulted ceilings, and french doors leading to an enclosed garden overlooking fields and orchars, perfect for young children and the family dog. The dining table comfortanly seats 6 guests, and the kitchen is well-equipped. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms add to the comfort and there is a sofa bed in the sitting room for extra guests. Leveret Lodge may accommodate 6 adults with prior arrangement with the owner.

For those looking for a peaceful break, Willow is the perfect choice for either a couple or a family. Enjoy unwinding in a quiet spot to read a book or a family walk with the dog across the beautiful North Downs. This semi-detached, single-storey cottags is situated in the village of Harrietsham with local amenities including a convenience store, pub and restaurant. You will marvel at the beauty that surrounds you here while you spend leisurely time in the shared garden within the owner’s grounds, watching their alpacas, chickens, horse, sheep and pig. Inside, Willow carries on with its rural charm with exposed beams and oak wood flooring. There are two comfortable bedrooms sleeping four guests, and a wheelchair accessible wet room with shower seat.

Willow boasts a wonderful location. The stunning Leeds Castle is just a mile away offering a fabulous day out exploring the castle and gardens, family maze, children’s play area, restaurants and Go Ape. You can easily reach the north and south Kent coastline by car. Some of the favourite spots are the much loved seaside town of Whitstable, famous for oysters and Dymchurch and Hythe offering the light railway to Dungeness. Visit Howletts Wild Animal Park in the north, and Port Lympne Wildlife Park in the south. Hever Castle and Dover Castle are also worth a day out. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub 1½ miles.

The living/dining room features a double sided wood burner, creating the perfect ambience for cosy evenings in, whether you are sitting at the dining table planning the week’s activities with a glass of wine or relaxing on the beautiful sofas that bring a vibrant pop of colour against the rustic wooden walls. The countryside kitchen boasts hand built wooden units, original barn flooring and chunky wooden worktops, with a butchers block island ideal for socialising whilst a hearty meal is being prepared. Here, Bi-folding doors lead out to the undercover gazebo and then out to the garden.
After a day of exploring the countryside, what better way to unwind than in the stunning freestanding bath, or warming walk-in rain shower. Split over two floors are 3 individually styled bedrooms, ideal for couples or extended families holidaying together. On the ground floor, is a peaceful double bedroom, with rustic beamed walls complimented with a splash of deep green paint and sumptuous padded headboard. Upstairs, the further bedrooms are each accessed by their own separate staircase from the living area. Behind wooden shutter doors sits a navy padded double bed; lit with industrial, hanging bedside lights, whilst on the other side of the living area steps lead up to a quirky family suite. Here, two single pods and a double bed sitting above on a mezzanine level, accessed from the rear via open-tread steps. There is also a games area in this room, complete with PlayStation 4.
Come summer or winter, the covered and spacious outside courtyard features a Kadai firepit, the ideal spot for a warming glass of red/hot chocolate, cooking a BBQ or even a curry for an all year round al fresco dining experience. An additional charcoal barbecue is also available for further relaxation in the sunshine during the summer. For those competitive members of the family, the table tennis will be sure to provide hours of entertainment. This is the perfect place for a special party, and although the property only sleeps 8, the owner is happy to welcome extra guests during the day to celebrate with those who are staying.
Nestled in a picturesque spot in the Kent countryside, the historic market town of Faversham can be reached in 15-minutes by car and offers creekside walks and an array of independent shops and restaurants. The Old Shire Barn is set amongst rolling farmland and countryside, surrounded by apple, pear and cherry orchards. Peaceful countryside walks await, with a choice of circular walks nearby each leading to friendly pubs; all of which welcome four legged friends. The renowned coastal town of Whitstable and the cobbled streets of Canterbury are within a 30-minute drive. Beach 12 miles. Shop 4 miles. The George pub is a 5 minute/ 20 minute walk, The Carpenters pub is 40 minute walk/ 5 minute drive - both good locally sourced food, log fires and great ambience.
