Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. Nearby Cleethorpes, which you can walk to along the seafront, boasts a pier, seaside amusements and attractions as well as good range of shops and restaurants to enjoy within a mile. For fun-filled days out, travel along the coast to the seaside resort of Mablethorpe to the south or visit Donna Nook during breeding season to see the new-born seals. The beach is sandy, and this stretch of coast is popular with kayaks and paddle boarders with a sailing club to be found on the Fitties as well.
The sand dunes can be accessed directly from the garden, and there are shops, a restaurant, a bar and good take aways to be found within ½ mile.
