Within an hour is the traditional seaside resort of Skegness, Stamford, home of the Burghley Horse Trials, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, home of Just Jane the WWII Lancaster Bomber, Rutland Water and even the sandy beaches of Norfolk are only just over an hour away. Lincoln is nearby, famous for its cathedral, castle, the Magna Carta Centre and the International Bomber Command Centre, and is just 35 minutes away in the car. There’s the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitors Centre just around the corner, and the traditional seaside town of Skegness is less than 40 minutes away so bring your bucket and spade for a day on the beach.
