Guests are welcome to explore over 80 acres of riverbank and tracks, ideal for wildlife watching and romantic strolls. Just 800 yards away is the medieval town of Wainfleet All Saints. Here visitors will find a weekly market and street auctions, pubs, a famous brewery with visitor tours, restaurants and shops. Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. You can enjoy a coffee and food in the North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point and take in the uninterrupted views across the beach and sea. Travel into the traditional seaside resort of Skegness, with entertainment for everyone during both day and night. Butlins or Fantasy Island offer great days out, whilst inland, there is the Georgian market town of Louth and the Lincolnshire Wolds.

There are good walks and cycle routes throughout the area, with the coast road to Anderby Creek and Sandilands a popular route. Beach 50 yards, Shop, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

Nearby Cleethorpes, which you can walk to along the seafront, boasts a pier, seaside amusements and attractions as well as good range of shops and restaurants to enjoy within a mile. For fun-filled days out, travel along the coast to the seaside resort of Mablethorpe to the south or visit Donna Nook during breeding season to see the new-born seals. The beach is sandy, and this stretch of coast is popular with kayaks and paddle boarders with a sailing club to be found on the Fitties as well.
The sand dunes can be accessed directly from the garden, and there are shops, a restaurant, a bar and good take aways to be found within ½ mile.
