The beach is sandy, and this stretch of coast is popular with kayaks and paddle boarders with a sailing club to be found on the Fitties as well.
    The sand dunes can be accessed directly from the garden, and there are shops, a restaurant, a bar and good take aways to be found within ½ mile.
