Guests are welcome to explore over 80 acres of riverbank and tracks, ideal for wildlife watching and romantic strolls. Just 800 yards away is the medieval town of Wainfleet All Saints. Here visitors will find a weekly market and street auctions, pubs, a famous brewery with visitor tours, restaurants and shops. Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. The Lincolnshire Wolds are full of good walks and cycle routes for the more energetic with the local pub just a short walk to wind down in afterwards in the evenings. Step back in time in Woodhall Spa, home to the famous Dambusters, and enjoy a runway taxi ride in the famous ’Just Jane’ Lancaster Bomber at East Kirkby Aviation Centre, Market Rasen horse racing and of course Cadwell Park Race Circuit. Lincoln with its fabulous cathedral, castle and the new Magna Carta Visitor Centre are 45 minutes away and worth a day out. The antiques centres on the old airfield at Hemswell Cliff are popular with collectors and Doncaster, Worksop and Newark hold regular international antique fairs - the show grounds are all within 45 minutes. Nearby Cleethorpes, which you can walk to along the seafront, boasts a pier, seaside amusements and attractions as well as good range of shops and restaurants to enjoy within a mile. For fun-filled days out, travel along the coast to the seaside resort of Mablethorpe to the south or visit Donna Nook during breeding season to see the new-born seals. The beach is sandy, and this stretch of coast is popular with kayaks and paddle boarders with a sailing club to be found on the Fitties as well.
The sand dunes can be accessed directly from the garden, and there are shops, a restaurant, a bar and good take aways to be found within ½ mile.

The cottage is just 2 miles from the lovely market town of Spilsby with plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants. Partney itself is only 10 miles from the seaside resort of Skegness with its excellent sandy beaches, fun fair, amusements, theatre, a seal sanctuary and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve so why not back your bucket and spade? Attractions in the area include the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds National Park, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or Horncastle, a 15-minute drive, which is famous for its many antique and collectables shops. Lincoln Cathedral, where ’The Da Vinci Code’ was filmed with Tom Hanks, is less an hour’s drive. Should you wish to leave the car there are many excellent walks and cycle routes throughout the area along with an award winning village pub across from the cottage which serves good home cooked food along with a great selection of local ales.
