Providing a perfect retreat for discerning larger family groups, these converted barns offer spacious and comfortable accommodation boasting beamed interiors, wood-burning stoves and enclosed separate gardens with private hot tubs, and for a special meal or family celebration gourmet meals can be arranged with the owner.

Beech Farm Barns are ideally located for all the family and for nature lovers there is an abundance of bird life. Within walking distance is Alderfen Broad, which is situated in The Broads National Park, a bird watcher’s delight. For the children there is BeWILDerwood Adventure Park with its treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combined makes a great day out. Nearby is the attractive Broads village of Horning with its selection of tea shops, restaurants and pubs. A day boat can be hired directly from the owner, or book a trip on the Mississippi steamer. The sandy beaches of the North Norfolk Coast are only 10 miles away. Alternatively spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with its magnificent cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres, market and vast array of cafes and shops. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest 17th-century country Jacobean houses in East Anglia), Blickling Hall (a magnificent house with woodlands and lakeside walks) and Sheringham Park (beautifully landscaped and renowned for its spectacular displays of azaleas and rhododendrons in late spring). The spectacular unspoilt Norfolk coastline and traditional market towns of Swaffham, Ely and Kings Lynn, are within easy reach. Year-round there are activities and attractions for all ages including Gooderstone Water Gardens, Stowe Farm, Grimes Graves, Welney Nature Reserve, High Lodge Forest Adventure Park and Norfolk Cycle Way. It was renovated as a family home with light, space and the Norfolk countryside views at the heart of its design. Part of a cluster of similar conversions, Hobland Barn looks over sprawling fields, which can be viewed from the first floor balcony. Whilst it is the perfect rural location, the pretty seaside town of Gorleston-on-Sea is only 3 miles away, and if the traditional seaside experience is on your list of ‘to-dos’, Great Yarmouth is a little further, at 6 miles away, with attractions, rides and ice cream galore for all the family. Hobland Barn is ideally placed to explore the National Park further inland. You can take out a day boat, hire bikes or simply walk many miles along unspoilt water’s edge, taking in the nature, wildlife and simply just enjoying this unique landscape. History abounds in Norfolk and a trip to the fine city of Norwich must be on your list of things to see and do. The Manor House, part of which dates back to the 1800s with much of the property alot older, has been thoughtfully restored to retain much of its period charm, with interesting features throughout. This period property has all the up-to-date conveniences that discerning guests require for their perfect getaway. In the dining room, you can still see the old butler bells that were used to summon ‘the help’ in days gone by. There are also traditional open fires and a wood burner to relax by, yet the feel of this beautiful property is still modern, fresh and very light and airy. With lots of places to relax in, you may be tempted to stay home, but if you do head out, you will find lots of great places to explore. In under 15 minutes you can be at bracing Brancaster beach, great for sunbathing in summer and walking in winter. Head east to Holkham beach, which was featured in Shakespeare in Love, and the popular village of Wells-next-the-Sea with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and quaint mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafés and amusements. Further along the coast lies Blakeney, Cley, Sheringham and Cromer with its famous Edwardian promenade and pier.
Pretty coastal villages, many of which offer artisan shops and great places to eat, salt marshes and beaches can be found to the west. The Victorian town of Hunstanton, with it’s famous stripy cliffs, has a beach that really does seem to go on forever and here you will find a small funfair, Sealife Centre and lots of traditional seaside amusements. Aptly named ‘Royal Norfolk’ has lots of stately homes and National Trust properties, including The Sandringham Estate, Peckover House and Gardens, Holkham Hall and Blickling Hall. History lovers should try to squeeze in a visit to the medieval city of Norwich, with it’s magnificent Norman castle and numerous museums, or perhaps visit the hanseatic quarter of Old Kings Lynn, which offers historical tours and, for the brave, ghost walks. There are many opportunities for bird watching at Titchwell Marsh, Scolt Head Island and Cley Marshes, and lots of great cycling routes and beautiful coastal walks. The surrounding area has lots of great places to eat out, many of which serve fresh local produce, but those wishing for a relaxing night in will be spoilt for choice too, with a state of the art kitchen and a pizza oven in the grounds. The Manor House has great places to dine either al fresco or by the wood burner, so foodies and casual diners alike will be delighted that they chose to stay at this stunning property.
