Bressingham Hall is a fabulous and historic estate located in Norfolk. It was originally built in the late 17th century, with subsequent renovations and additions over the centuries. The estate has seen various owners and uses during its existence. One of its notable owners was the Reverend Richard Congreve, a key figure in the Victorian era who contributed significantly to the gardens at Bressingham. His passion for horticulture laid the foundation for the spectacular gardens that the estate is renowned for today.
This grand Grade II country house is complete with eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, sleeping up to 21 guests. Having a sweeping staircase in the fabulous entrance hall, elegant rooms and beautiful grounds, this property is ideal for families to get together for special occasions and celebrations. You will find decorative fireplaces in several rooms, whilst the formal dining room can seat up to 18 guests. The bright and airy bedrooms have great proportions and are beautifully furnished; many are en-suite. The kitchen is very well-appointed with all the necessary equipment needed to cook up a storm.
The house sits next to public gardens - Bressingham Gardens. The highly acclaimed and renowned gardens are regularly featured on TV, radio and in magazines. Guests are granted access to these public gardens from dawn until dusk. Outside, there is a private enclosed garden attached to the house, with a lawned terrace for outside dining and an ornamental fish pond. A hot tub can be booked and installed in this area at an additional cost, if required. There is a converted barn and marquee situated nearby, which is available for weddings, celebrations and parties, available by arrangement with the owner.
Whether you are a gardening enthusiast, a history buff, or simply seeking a peaceful and picturesque destination in Norfolk, Bressingham Hall is a must-visit attraction that offers a blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
