For a relaxing day out venture further into the Yorkshire Dales to the picturesque villages of Grassington, 12 miles, and Kettlewell, 5 miles further, calling at Kilnsey Trout Farm on the way and a stop off to watch the climbers hang off Kilnsey Crag. Many walks and cycle routes for all abilities can be found here and all around the area. Skipton is a small town with a big heart. Within a short stroll of Windy Dales Cottage you will arrive at the heart of the town with its wonderful canal path and pretty long boats, the market square and an eclectic range of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants.
