This renovated cottage has been furnished and decorated to a high standard, with views across the lawned garden down to the enclosed private woodland, complete with a footpath through the trees. This is a haven for wildlife and you may see the resident deer at dawn and dusk.

This is a walker’s dream, embrace the great outdoors and follow one of the nearby trails, it is located next to the Cinder Track running from Whitby, through Stainsacre to Robin Hood’s Bay, Ravenscar and Scarborough. There is also the Cleveland Way along the coastline and the steam train which winds its way over the heather laced hills of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, a delight to explore. There are also ancient forests nearby such as Falling Foss with its waterfall and Dalby Forest, with footpaths, bike trails and zip-lining through the tree tops. For equestrians your horse is welcome to join you so that you can enjoy some of the beautiful trails together. Situated at Staithes, near Whitby, these former World War I army bunkers are in an idyllic position close to the countryside and sea. There is a golf course and driving range in Brotton, 6¾ miles away, and at Scaling Reservoir, 7¼ miles, there is sailing and fishing. There is a leisure centre 2 miles down the road and a 2-minute stroll down the cobbled street brings you to the centre of the picturesque fishing village with its small harbour nestling beneath rugged cliffs. Step back in time and walk the quaint narrow passages, as Captain James Cook himself must have done. Here in Staithes there are village shops, pubs, cafés and a restaurant, and in 2020 the village was featured on the BBC programme ’Gone Christmas Fishing’ with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Why not travel on Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express (the North Yorkshire Moors Railway) through ’Heartbeat’ country, or visit Whitby and its famous abbey which is 11 miles away.
