Welcome to The Barn, a wonderful escape to the country with stunning views across the fields to Blagdon Lake. Set in the Mendips, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, walks for miles can be enjoyed from the doorstep and the area is perfect for mountain biking, climbing, horse riding or fishing. Just a short walk away is the beautiful Blagdon Lake with its miles of walks, stroll down and explore the Yeo Valley Organic Dairy with its Organic Garden. The nearby city of Wells has a fabulous local market and beautiful cathedral to visit as well as independent and larger shops to enjoy. Head into Cheddar and sample some local cheese, walk the reservoir loop or take a drive through the gorge!
For some ancient Roman architecture, head over to Bath and sample the delights that can be found there. If a day by the sea is what you fancy, the traditional seaside town of Weston-super-Mare is always a winner with its grand pier and donkey rides! Longleat is well worth a visit, and the city of Bristol, with the SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge, is within easy reach.
Ideal for bird watching, walking and cycling. A short walk to St. Andrews Church and short drive to Coombe Lodge if attending a wedding. Within easy car journey for both the Bristol balloon Fiesta and Bristol Harbour Festival.

These attractive holiday properties lie in the peaceful conservation village of Colerne, surrounded by rolling countryside. The Grade II* listed stable conversion (PFFH) is part of the only longhouse in Wiltshire and dating back to the 13th century, is the oldest house in the village. Beautifully refurbished to offer all modern conveniences, yet retains charm and character. Sympathetically converted, the detached, single-storey barn (PHHF) offers light and airy, contemporary accommodation. Colerne has a good selection of shops and pubs but only a short bus journey, 7 miles, will take you into Bath and Chippenham. The Cider Barn is decorated and furnished to a very high standard by the owners who have years of experience in the hospitality industry, and the attention to detail is evident in every room.
Downstairs is a fabulous open plan living space, with wonderful Bi-folding doors that open to allow the outside in and giving you great views over the Blackdown hills. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need and the island unit opens it up to the rest of the room, so you can socialise while creating your next culinary masterpiece! The large Master bedroom on the ground floor has a stunning four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and separate shower, while upstairs the second large bedroom features a wonderful kingsize bespoke bed, beautiful beamed vaulted ceiling and statement lighting. There is also a shower room upstairs with walk-in shower.
Outside you will find a Mediterranean style covered seating area complete with its own chandelier, barbecue area and private hot tub, all soaking up the wonderful views!
Set in the lovely village of Bishopswood, with the Somerset Wildlife Trust running adjacent to the property, you are only 5-minutes’ walk from the local pub and surrounded by miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Honiton is just 10 miles away and the beach at Lyme Regis can be reached within a 30-minute drive. Heading north, you will find the county town of Taunton with lots of restaurants, cinema, bowling and shopping, and within an hour’s drive you will find Glastonbury, Street, Minehead and the moors of Exmoor! Beach 18 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

When you arrive at The Malthouse a heavy oak door leads you into the original cart-way. From the cart-way, go down into the lower ground floor utility room, here you will find an extra fridge, washer and dryer. Also just off the original cart-way is a bedroom with a bathroom adjacent. A spacious open plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is stylish and handmade with all the modern appliances you’d expect. The dining area has a large, impressive Bath stone fireplace in front of the long pine dining table. Heavy curtains and underfloor heating keep you warm in the winter months whilst stone floors, lime washed walls and ancient beams reflect its historic character.


On the ground floor the sitting room and the garden room, both comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. The sitting room has an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, ideal on colder days. Walk through the cosy sitting room to the airy pitch-roofed garden room and enjoy views of the garden and countryside from the window seats. Climb the turret stairway to the first floor where there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The bedrooms are large and elegant with crisp Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels, side tables, soft furnishings, and comfy chairs. Up another turret stairway to the second floor with another bathroom and a further two bedrooms, one with a unique view of the ancient malthouse roof structure through a floor-to-ceiling glass window. There’s a generous open courtyard and a large garden with lawn and lavender lined path. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining; there are large tables with benches and chairs, a large comfy sofa and plenty of blankets to lay on the grass. A range of outdoor games including table tennis are provided.


Grade II listed, The Malthouse is steeped in history with some parts dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries and is quirky in many ways with uneven steps and floors, all of which contribute to the character of the building. The owners just ask that you take care whilst you experience living in a historic house! The property is in an outstanding location. The city of Bath needs no introduction and is a 15-minute drive (or catch the bus from the village).


If you want to enjoy all this World Heritage Site has to offer while staying in a quintessential English village away from the hustle and bustle, Norton St. Philip is the perfect spot. It has its own dramatic history to investigate, including the site of the Pitchfork Rebellion in 1686. The stunning George Inn next door is one of the country’s oldest and has been the resting place of queens and kings dating back to the 15th century. Other world-class attractions nearby include Longleat House and Safari Park, Stonehenge, Glastonbury, and the National Trust’s Stourhead. Don’t miss other places of interest including the Hauser and Wirth art gallery in Bruton, Iford Manor’s Peto Garden and the pretty market town of Bradford-on-Avon. There are countless other National Trust properties, quaint villages, Neolithic sites, and ancient churches to explore.

Welcome to The Hollies, a wonderful one bedroom bungalow set in the village of Uphill, just outside Weston-Super-Mare and with Uphill beach just a few minutes walk away.
Inside this bright and airy bungalow, the kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, washing machine and microwave as well as a fabulous breakfast bar. The spacious living room has comfortable seating and Smart TV while the dining room has patio doors leading out to the conservatory. The large bedroom has a double bed, large wardrobes and picture window that looks out over the garden, the bathroom has a bath with a shower over and heated towel rail. Uphill has a wonderful year round dog friendly beach and local shop for essentials, while the hospital is nearby. Weston-Super-Mare is a traditional seaside town on the north Somerset Coastline, jam packed with fun things to do such as donkey rides on the beach, wander along the grand pier and enjoy the arcades, grab some fish and chips or enjoy one of the many bars and restaurants in the town centre or along the seafront, which also has many shops to explore. Why not jump on the train and head off to the bright lights of Bath or Bristol for a dose of city life for a day. The ancient medieval town of Glastonbury, with its wonderfully eclectic shops and famous Tor makes for a fabulous day out or bag yourself a bargain on a visit to Clarks Village in Street, with its many designer outlets to enjoy! Moorlands is a wonderful holiday home located in the charming village of Chilcompton, refurbished in 2022 to provide luxurious accommodation, perfect for all the family!


Pull into your driveway where Moorlands awaits you, step inside the hallway where the vaulted double height ceiling floods the room with light. There is a piano and reading nook to be enjoyed here.


The spacious living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan with wonderful views from the large patio doors over the garden. The living area has stunning feature wallpaper, lighting, comfortable yet stylish seating and an awesome real flame gas fireplace.


The dining area has a large table with ample seating and statement lighting while the fabulous well-equipped kitchen which includes a boiling water tap, wine fridge and designer extractor, shows the high level of fixtures and fittings you can expect. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite facilities, and a door leading to the garden with a terrace, perfect for your morning cuppa.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms which all lead off the galleried landing, one is a super king size bed which can be twin beds on request, one with a king size bed, one with double bed and another with double bed and single bunk on top. The two family bathrooms can be found on this floor, one with a large walk-in shower and the other, a large walk-in shower and stunning stone pebble shaped bath. Both bathrooms have been finished to the highest standard and offer luxury living. A hot tub can be hired (at a cost) with prior arrangement with the owner giving an extra feel of luxury to enjoy a little bit of R&R.


Heading outside, the extremely large garden is mainly laid to lawn, with 2 wonderful seating areas to enjoy. There is space for all the family to play endless games while around the side is a lovely vegetable garden which guests are welcome to use, and a hot and cold dog wash is provided for your convenience. A beautiful river runs around the garden of the property and care has been taken to enclose the garden, but children and animals should be supervised at all times.


Set between the cities of Bath and Wells, you will never tire of things to do while staying here! Bath with its fabulous architecture, riverside cafes, boutique shops and spas is a delightful day out, as is England’s smallest cathedral city of Wells with its outdoor market, cafés, and restaurants. Glastonbury is within easy reach with its ancient medieval charm and Tor, where you can see for miles and miles from the top. Head to Street’s designer outlet, Clarks Village, and grab a bargain. Wookey Hole Caves are a great day out for all the family and Cheddar Gorge and caves makes for a great day and has cheese, what more could you ask for! Pub and restaurant 704 yards.

Mudford is a lovely village set on the outskirts of the popular town of Yeovil, with a fabulous farm shop nearby offering delicious local produce and a 17th century inn serving wonderful meals are both within a 10-minute walk. Further afield, Yeovil has a great selection of shops, bars, and restaurants to explore and enjoy. The National Trust properties of Montacute House, Lytes Cary Manor and Tintinhull Garden are within a 15-minute drive. Ham Hill County Park is wonderful for walks, offers spectacular views from the monument and has a fabulous country pub service local food, cider and ales. Langport is within easy reach with its River Parrett trail or head to Glastonbury for some ancient medieval history and eclectic shops.

Welcome to Staple Hill House, a fabulous 5-bedroom, characterful detached property set in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the glorious Somerset countryside with views extending as far as the Quantock Hills yet only 10 minutes’ drive from the county town of Taunton. This spacious, beautifully decorated holiday home really has something for everyone, making the property great for families or friends looking to escape to the country together.
Downstairs you will find the large kitchen which comes fully equipped with all you could need to cook everything from a simple meal to a huge dinner for all your party. Off the kitchen is the large dining room which has an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner (ornamental effect only), large table plus a snug corner with sofa and TV and enjoys views over the garden. Staple Hill House has its own entrance gate and is located next to the owner’s private stables. The immediate area is a walker’s or cyclist’s paradise with routes in every direction and offers easy access to the Staple Fitzpaine Herepath, a shared cycle and walking bridleway with a network of marked trails through forestry and open land of varying lengths to suit everyone and forms in total a 13 mile loop around the village of Staple Fitzpaine. The route primarily follows a series of off road tracks through wooded areas including Staple Park Wood, Piddle Wood and Birkenhall Wood. Castle Neroche and Staple Hill parks being of particular note where great walks and views can be enjoyed. Just ¾ of a mile away is the wonderful Greyhound Inn, a great country pub serving food and drinks, or a short drive takes you to a fabulous Italian restaurant as well as more amazing local inns!
The county town of Taunton is around 10 minutes’ drive away and has a host of shops, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. National Trust properties surround the area and the Great Somerset Steam Railway from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead is a must do for kids and adults. The seaside town of Lyme Regis on The Jurassic coast just over the Dorset border is a little over half an hour’s drive away. Shop 5 miles. Pub ¾ of a mile, restaurant 3 miles.
