    This charming four-bedroom period cottage, nestled in the Surrey Hills, offers an ideal retreat for gatherings with friends and family. Located just an hour from London, Parkside is part of the original Albury estate, featuring an unassuming exterior but surprisingly spacious interior with an instant homely feel.
    The cottage boasts two inviting living rooms; the first adorned with a beautiful fireplace, bookshelves, and a log burner for quiet moments, while the second spans the full length of the house and offers two distinct seating areas, one with a wood burner and the other with a Smart TV. Plenty of seating for all. The adjacent dining room hosts a substantial oak dining table, cupboards filled with games, and overlooks a large garden with a patio. The well-equipped kitchen includes an Aga for winter warmth and cooking, a convection hob, oven, Lavazza coffee machine, and modern comforts. Upstairs, three double bedrooms, children’s bedroom and a family bathroom with a spacious bath and separate shower await. The main bedroom features a super kingsize bed with an en-suite.
    You have bi-folding doors leading to the patio equipped with a table, chairs, loungers, BBQ, and fire pit. A ping pong table and tree swing are halfway down the long garden, leading to a self-contained garden room with living and sleeping accommodation for two, with gym kit including Concept 2 Rower and Bike. The inviting play area is a children’s delight with climbing frame, swing, slide and camp. Also, a large trampoline with side netting, football net and bounce back net.
    Situated in the Surrey Hills, the cottage provides direct access to heathland and the Blackheath Forest from the garden, with scenic walks to Shere village or Albury Park. Shere, featured in films like "The Holiday," and is only a 15-minute footpath walk. The quintessential village includes boutique and antique shops, cafés, pubs, Lido, tennis courts, skate ramps and restaurant. You really are spoilt for choice with fishing, vineyard, Gin distillery and Newlands Corner all within a 5-minute drive, plus pubs in neighbouring Gomshall, Albury, Shamley Green and Peaslake.
    For those football or cricket players, there are pitches and nets also 10 minutes walk away at Albury Sports Club. Bike hire available in Shere. For guests staying in December and January, note that work in the neighbouring garden is ongoing, with a new hedge being planted. While the neighbouring garden may be more visible than usual during this period, it remains discreetly situated at the far end of the cottage’s garden, away from the house.
