You don’t need to worry about privacy as The Old Workshop features funky blinds fitted to the glass, which can be positioned any which way for optimum privacy. You can rustle up a fantastic feast on the Range style oven in the gorgeous kitchen or throw open the patio doors and enjoy a delicious breakfast in the private courtyard, al fresco style. This stunning pet friendly holiday home is located in Stowupland in central Suffolk close to the market town of Stowmarket which enjoys a main line train link to London Liverpool Street. It is within easy driving distance of the cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket the home of racing, Cambridge, Clare, Long Melford and Lavenham to the west and the Heritage Coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Woodbridge and Thorpeness to the east.

Surrounded by stunning countryside, as well as being on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, this wonderful barn conversion is tucked away in a peaceful rural location, with views out onto the rolling fields stretched out before you. Boasting the luxury of your own hot tub under a gazebo, creating the perfect private setting to unwind and enjoy each others’ company.

Inside you have a stunning open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, with glass bi-folding doors, opening out to the patio and the countryside beyond. The stylish kitchen and high quality décor give a sense of quality and luxury, combined with the rustic charm of exposed wooden beams, cosy wood burner and beautiful rural views.

The fully fitted kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need for your stay, whilst the living area has a beautiful leather sofa as well as an armchair beside a cosy wood burner and 65" Smart TV. The spacious bedroom is complete with a dressing table and wardrobe, as well as a Smart TV, and the superb en-suite bathroom has a freestanding slipper bath and separate walk-in shower. Outside is where the fun begins, with a luxury hot tub, relaxing garden furniture and a barbecue area to enjoy in the sunshine.

Nearby Pickering is a characterful town with a fine selection of independent shops, art galleries and antique shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. From here you can take a ride on the famous steam train to Grosmont, Goathland (Aidensfield in the classic TV series ’Heartbeat’) and the seaside town of Whitby, where you can climb the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey. Those looking for a quieter pace of life may prefer to walk the many footpaths and bridleways over the North Yorks Moor. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

This wonderful detached cottage with wrap around private garden and hot tub is tucked away in peaceful countryside. Nestled near the village church within the very quaint, small and rural village of Norton Subcourse. It is within easy distance of the larger village of Loddon just a few minutes’ drive away and the pretty market town of Beccles, 14 minutes, with supermarkets, shops, cafés and regular market days.

Surrounded by open countryside, spectacular walks and excellent cycle routes can be enjoyed from the doorstep. The neighbouring village of Thurlton, ¾ miles, boasts a local shop and a friendly public house. The area has excellent road links providing easy access to both sandy beaches and the National Park Norfolk Broads for daily boat hire and river trips. Reedham Ferry, a chain linked ferry crossing, is just 2 miles away and takes you on a trip across the River Yare, with a pub serving good food awaiting on the opposite side, and miles more marshes and villages to explore.
Fishing is available along the River Yare (licence required). Enjoy a day trip to the medieval city of Norwich and explore its Norman castle, many museums, theatre and galleries. Two excellent indoor shopping malls, market square and an abundance of great places to eat and drink. Alternatively, explore the Norfolk Broads where you can join a tour or even charter your own day launch to explore the miles of waterways. Daily boat hire and river trips available at Loddon and Beccles. A 30-minute drive takes you to the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth with its Golden Mile amusements, fun fair, waxworks, pitch and putt, Sea Life Centre and shopping centre. Suffolk coastline includes everything from traditional seaside resorts with good sandy beaches including Lowestoft, through to popular Southwold with its life boat museum, lighthouse, shops and pubs. Enjoy the thrills of Pleasurewood Hills American theme park, 12 miles away.
Relax and enjoy the tranquil grounds of Somerleyton Hall, 8 miles. Travel north to explore Cromer with its pier, working life boat centre, sandy beach and town centre. Blakeney Quay, historic Holt and the Royal Sandringham Estate are all within a 2 hour drive. For birdwatchers there are RSPB sites available locally. There are lots of amazing places to seek out which serve great seasonal and locally produced foods. The historic hill top village of Hawnby is a designated Conservation Area of traditional stone and pantiles roof cottages, with the local pub just a short walk away. Dreamer’s Hut is only 6 miles from Helmsley, one of Yorkshire’s finest market towns. This renowned market town is where the North York Moors and the Howardian Hills meet, offering fine historic views and countryside with a reputation for great Yorkshire hospitality. The market square is a meeting point for walkers, cyclists and locals alike. There are also many shops, cafés, eateries including Michelin starred restaurants, an open-air swimming pool, walled garden, castle, bird of prey centre, microbrewery, two abbey ruins and the stately home of Duncombe Park.
The Dreamer’s Hut is named after ’The Hawnby Dreamers’ - three local shepherds who in the mid-1700s, fell asleep whilst working in the fields on a hot day in the adjacent valley of Ladhill Ghyll, of which the hut overlooks. The shepherds awoke to discover they had each had the same vivid dream of spiritual awakening and being called to change their lives for the better. The three subsequently walked to Newcastle to hear the preaching of the famous John Wesley and converted to Methodism, bringing this faith back to Hawnby. We happily welcome two small (or one big), well-behaved dogs to join you on your countryside adventure. Although we kindly ask that your furry friend remains on a lead in the garden, they can freely explore the 5-acres of private woodlands and paddocks which is fully enclosed to roam freely.

Test your skills and push your limits with a range of thrilling activities such as rock climbing, archery, and off-road biking. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach Bristol and Bath. Explore Glastonbury’s Abbey and Tor, Wells’ cathedral and Bishop’s palace, or Cheddar’s famous caves and gorge. All within 30 minutes and promising delightful adventures. The Fold shepherds hut is set in its own wonderfully secluded field that lies alongside the meandering River Perry, on a grassy meadow known as "The Flash". With views over the river and the fields beyond, The Fold offers total peace and rural charm in the Shropshire countryside.
Inside, there’s a lovely bespoke kitchen, including a large Belfast sink and plenty of storage. The owners provide basic condiments for cooking and a welcome pack waiting for you on your arrival. There is a built-in seating area and table, perfect for both indoor eating and games, some games are provided in the hut for you to enjoy. The bathroom has a large shower and top-of-the-range waterless eco loo. The eco loo is slightly different to a domestic toilet but much more sustainable. Lots of thought has gone into the hut and throughout, nothing is overlooked. For a good night’s sleep, there’s a delightful king-size bed with White Company bedding and handmade cushions and furnishings. In the main living area is a wood burner (it may be possible to have this lit for your arrival).
Outside there is a fenced garden which includes a top-of-the-range wood-fired hot tub which overlooks the picturesque meadow and has views of the river. The Fold’s garden also includes a firepit/BBQ, perfect for cooking or just gathering around to keep warm on a brisk evening. You will also have access down to the river through the meadow. The Fold has sole occupancy of The Flash with no one overlooking you, and no neighbours - apart from the odd sheep at certain times of the year! Have your morning cup of tea listening to bird songs, watching the resident swans glide down the river, and if you are lucky, spot the occasional kingfisher. The Fold is the perfect place to hang out in the summer or cosy up in the winter with the wood burner roaring.
From the shepherd’s hut, you will have access straight from the farm to the beautiful Shropshire countryside via a network of footpaths. As well as many local walks straight from the door. The Fold is also a great springboard from which to explore the wider area including the Shropshire Hills and historic Shrewsbury which is only a 10-15 minute drive away. Located in the tiny hamlet of Yeaton, The Fold is only a 1½ mile walk from the village of Baschurch which has a fantastic pub, several takeaways, a farm shop and a cafe as well as a well-stocked village shop and post office.
The Fold is off-grid, and all the power is generated by solar panels and stored in batteries. Whilst we are confident that there will be ample power for your stay, please use the electricity responsibly and turn off lights and chargers when not in use. There are modern USB charging sockets. There is no mains electricity, therefore, hairdryers etc cannot be used. A kettle is provided for use on the gas hob or wood-burning stove. Set in the grounds of the owner’s home, in rolling West Dorset countryside between the quaint historic abbey town of Sherborne and the market town of Dorchester, this spacious, single-storey barn conversion for two, with beams, is an ideal holiday location for lovely country walks, golf, and village pubs to wine and dine in, or for exploring many historic houses and attractions nearby and days out visiting the World Heritage Coast or Bath. Tucked away on the edge of the picture postcard village of Coldingham, Garden Cottage has lovely light, spacious living areas and a great bathroom with both a shower cubicle and a bath. This property is perfect for guests with younger children, as there is a cot and highchair available. There are gardens to both front and rear, and it is just a few minutes’ walk into the village where there is a priory, as well as local shops and a couple of cosy pubs serving food. You can also enjoy circular walks round the village. Sandy, sheltered Coldingham Bay, popular with surfers and divers, is 20 minutes’ walk, and Coldingham Loch offers fly fishing. St Abbs is a fishing harbour with a café/restaurant, and St Abbs Head National Nature Reserve is a coastal headland with breathtaking panoramic views and awesome cliffs where thousands of seabirds nest in the spring. You can enjoy amazing coastal walks, including a 30-mile route from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Cockburnspath, or take a boat trips from Seahouses to the Farne Islands, or from Berwick-upon-Tweed on the River Tweed out into the North Sea. Edinburgh is under an hour by train from Berwick, a fascinating Elizabethan walled town. There is a working harbour and golf in Eyemouth, historic houses and castles galore, fishing nearby, and plenty of crafts and galleries. Beach 1¼ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
