The original stables is thought to have been designed by the acclaimed 19th century Newcastle architect John Dobson. At the rear of Swansfield Stables there is a peaceful cobbled courtyard which gives access to a detached former cart shed, which has been beautifully transformed to create this self-catering holiday accommodation. The open plan living space covers the entire ground floor where a wood burner creates a cosy ambience. The family bedroom and shower room are on the first floor and immaculately presented throughout.

    There is a wide array of amenities available within the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick, most within half a mile. Alnwick Garden is a popular tourist attraction where there is a spectacular Cascade Waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe. Alnwick Castle is also well worth a visit.

    The picturesque town of Rothbury, which sits at the foot of the Simonside Hills, is a short drive to the west. The National Trust property at Cragside is situated on the edge of Rothbury and is nestled within 1000 acres to explore.

    Heading east of Alnwick is the stunning Heritage coastline which this area is renowned for.
