    The famous ‘Champagne Coast’ Sheringham is a nostalgic area of natural beauty with unspoilt countryside, and whilst the beach is the star attraction, you also have the cliff top golf course, swimming pool, many shops, cafés, and restaurants. Sheringham is also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway which visits the seaside village of Weybourne and Georgian market town of Holt. Sheringham hosts many events and food festivals. Carnival week is held during early August, and the 1940s celebration weekend during mid September. For the brave is the New Year’s Day sea swim or paddle. Felbrigg and Blickling National Trust stately houses and gardens are open all year round, and Muckleburgh Military and Tank collection is a worth a visit. Pack up your buckets and spades and head to the seaside, as Sheringham beach is on doorstep, and the seaside resorts of Cromer, Great Yarmouth and Hunstanton are within easy driving distance. Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads, is great for riverside restaurants, cafés and shops. You can also find daily boat hire and river trips to explore the waterways. The salt marshes and RSPB nature reserves can be found further along the coast road. Why not visit the city of Norwich, with two indoor shopping malls, market, cathedral, castle museum, theatre, cafés, pubs, and restaurants. Beach, shops, pubs and restaurants ¾ miles.
