Numerous walks around the locality offer a chance to explore the Sussex countryside however nearby towns such as Battle offer the historic Battle Abbey, the home of the Battle of Hastings, along with a range of independent shops and restaurants. Larger towns such as Hailsham offer access to larger high street stores within a short drive.
