    Sker beach is accessible by a 20-minute walk from the property, it is the most westerly of Porthcawl’s beaches and is only accessible by walking from Rest Bay or Kenfig Nature Reserve. Generally sandy and flat, it is mostly used by locals, making it one of the quieter beaches in Porthcawl. Classes as a rural beach it has no toilets or other amenities, and dogs are allowed all year round. For those wanting to take in a country walk or cycling, Margam Country Park is 4 miles from the property.
