Isla’s Cottage is a cosy 18th-century Welsh cottage situated in the quaint village of Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley. It’s central location is ideal for visiting the Gower Peninsula with its award winning beaches, the Brecon Beacons National Park and other local attractions. Ideal for couples and families. The cottage is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous cafés, bars, restaurants and lovely shops. The cottage has a multi-fuel burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a day of walking/activities. Other facilities include an enclosed garden with patio area, perfect for your canine companions.
The cottage is full of character, and downstairs you will find a bathroom with shower over P-shaped bath, a good sized kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and washing machine. The kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with seating and a bike store, and upstairs there is one double and one single bedroom.
There is lots to do in this area, and with being centrally based, you can be on the beach in 40 minutes or in the mountains in 30 minutes. There are lots of walks to be found near the property, great for taking your four-legged friends. Horse riding is available a short drive from the property, and the award winning Dan yr Ogof show caves is great day out for adults and kids alike. The town of Ystradgynlais is a short walk from the property, where an abundance of restaurants, shops and pubs can be found. Shop ½ mile. Pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Avon Lodge at Daisy Bank Caravan Park is a friendly adult only, family-owned caravan park. Set in 7 acres of beautiful countryside between Bishops Castle in Shropshire and Welshpool in Powys, Wales. It’s perfect for guests who want to enjoy a comfortable private base to explore the local area, visit family, or enjoy the great outdoors. The new (in 2022) self-contained lodge is perfectly situated offering a quiet and comfortable stay. Internally, the lodge has two bedrooms, one double bedroom and the second a single bed. Both cleverly designed incorporating furniture to utilise the space and offering loads of natural light. The main bathroom with shower is a generous size with modern fixtures. The open plan modern kitchen/dining area has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Around the corner is the living area, spacious and airy with patio doors that open out onto the decking area. On the decking you will find lovely outdoor furniture, to relax and take in the peaceful and beautiful area.
Externally, there is vast amounts of rural space, with views of the Shropshire countryside. Being an adult only Caravan Park, there are other guests staying here, giving you the choice to make friends or be perfectly independent. For most things you need go no further than Churchstoke Shopping Centre just 2 miles along the road from Daisy Bank. Here you will find a good sized supermarket, butchers, post office, and petrol station. There is also a plant centre, hairdresser, pound store and a café. Bishops Castle has some small but very good independent retailers. Bishops Castle is also home to two micro-brewery’s, which are well worth a visit. Fishing is available along the River Severn and its tributaries between Newtown and Welshpool. The Montgomery Canal is also popular and requires a club fishing permit. Clun is a pretty river crossing with remains of a Norman castle. Visit Craven Arms for Stokesay Castle, a fine medieval fortified house. Church Stretton, like Clun and Bishops Castle, is a centre for walking routes. Further afield, Ironbridge, tells of the industrial revolution through its magnificent River Severn bridge and museums. Ludlow’s annual food festival adds to its reputation for dining and shopping. It has an impressive castle and riverside. With many attractions on offer in the area, Avon Lodge at Daisy Bank is a perfect choice for your next getaway.

Towe Cottage is a homely place to stay for your South Wales break. The cottage comfortably sleeps three guests and has all the facilities you need for your break. The living space is open plan with a cosy seating area, a smart TV, as well as a dining table, great for enjoying a meal or a board game together. The kitchen is well equipped with a small breakfast table too, and the ground floor bathroom has a shower over the bath. There are two bedrooms on the first floor – a double bedroom with a small TV, plenty of storage space and bedside tables, and the other is a single bedroom with storage space and an extra fold-out bed ideal for younger children if needed! Outside, the property benefits from a pretty courtyard garden, ideal for sitting out in the sun!
Tawe Cottage sits opposite the River Tawe, on the edge of the pretty village that is Ystradgynlais, the village has all you need for your break, with a selection of local pubs, restaurants and shops available within walking distance & larger amenities just a short drive away. The location lends itself well to those looking to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Sat on the edge of the Beacons, you’ll be just a short drive from fantastic places to visit including popular waterfall walks as well as the National Showcaves and of course plenty of peaks! You will also be a short drive from Wales’ second largest city, Swansea, and in under an hour you could visit the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you’ll find impressive coastlines, idyllic beaches and gorgeous countryside.

Glen Y Nant is a static caravan set in its own garden overlooking a stream
and fields. Set in a rural area surrounded by wildlife and scenic views it
is a great base for bird watchers and nature lovers, hikers, dog owners,
cyclists, photographers, artists and dark-sky lovers. The area is ideal to
visit the Welsh towns of Presteigne, Knighton, Builth Wells (Royal Welsh
Showground 11 miles away), Llandrindod Wells or to follow the Black and
White village trail through pretty Herefordshire. It is also suitable as a
base for the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festivals in May and November and the
Brecon Jazz Festival in August. If you enjoy pubs, these are in
Llanfihangel, Hundred House, Knighton, Titley, Presteigne, Builth and
Kington.
You enter up three steps or a ramp with sturdy handrails. The kitchen is
well-equipped and the open-plan living room is welcoming with a glowing
electric fire for cosy evenings. There is a Smart TV with Freeview. There
is a separate dining area seating four. Under one of the bench-sofas is a
sprung sofa-bed with a slim mattress (best for children). The double
bedroom has an en-suite toilet. The single bedroom is next to the family
bathroom has a shower cubicle (small access step), heated towel rail,
toilet and sink. Both bedrooms have comfortable mattresses and blackout
curtains. Storage is in wardrobes and bedside tables. There is good mobile
coverage.
There is a large patio overlooking the stream where you can enjoy the views
and abundant bird life. There is a bench with cushions, recliners and a
dining set for alfresco meals. The garden is fenced in some areas and the
enclosed dog paddock allows pets to play securely. Walks on the farmland
can be arranged. Kids and dogs love the stream, and the nearby bird hide can
provide a peaceful pastime. Whether you’re seeking a retreat or an active
holiday this is the perfect base to create memories.
The caravan is just off the A44 which is a main route into Wales from
Herefordshire. There is passing traffic that reduces in the evening and is
rare overnight.
