    Externally, there is vast amounts of rural space, with views of the Shropshire countryside. For most things you need go no further than Churchstoke Shopping Centre just 2 miles along the road from Daisy Bank. Here you will find a good sized supermarket, butchers, post office, and petrol station. There is also a plant centre, hairdresser, pound store and a café. Bishops Castle has some small but very good independent retailers. Bishops Castle is also home to two micro-brewery’s, which are well worth a visit. Fishing is available along the River Severn and its tributaries between Newtown and Welshpool. The Montgomery Canal is also popular and requires a club fishing permit. Clun is a pretty river crossing with remains of a Norman castle. Visit Craven Arms for Stokesay Castle, a fine medieval fortified house. Church Stretton, like Clun and Bishops Castle, is a centre for walking routes. Further afield, Ironbridge, tells of the industrial revolution through its magnificent River Severn bridge and museums. Ludlow’s annual food festival adds to its reputation for dining and shopping. It has an impressive castle and riverside. With many attractions on offer in the area, Avon Lodge at Daisy Bank is a perfect choice for your next getaway.

Welshpool’s main streets are lined with beautiful Georgian buildings and there’s lots of independent shops and cafés to see. Partly medieval, but with grand 17th century interiors, Powys Castle and Garden presides over the finest historic garden in Wales. It was created in the 1670s and is a very popular place for visitors today. From April to October, you can ride the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway along this delightful narrow-gauge heritage railway from Raven Square to Llanfair Caereinion. It’s a 16-mile round trip which takes around 45 minutes each way. There are many nature reserves in the area, Llyn Coed y Dinas is a fantastic home for all sorts of wildlife. For the outdoor adventurers why not walk along Glyndwr’s Way. Glyndwr’s Way is a 135-mile National Trail which loops through glorious Mid Wales countryside. It starts from Knighton’s Town Clock, heads northwest to Machynlleth, then turns northeast, ending at the Montgomery Canal, Welshpool. Most people walk it in that direction, but you could easily start from Welshpool and sample a section. Ideally located for exploring as much or as little of the area as you like.     It is ideally situated to visit the Welsh towns of Presteigne, Knighton, Builth Wells (Royal Welsh Showground 11 miles away), Llandrindod Wells or to follow the Black and White village trail through pretty Herefordshire. It is also suitable as a base for the Hay-on-Wye Book Festival and Brecon Jazz Festival. If after a day of exploring you want to eat out there are pubs in Knighton, Presteigne, Titley and Kington.
    There are three steps to enter the caravan, and once inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a welcoming open-plan living room with a separate dining area.
