Downstairs there’s a living room with seating for fifteen people, the room has a wood burning stove and large flat screen TV. The dining room is quite regal, with large table seating 11. The room also has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is hand made solid pine, with two oven Aga and a second range cooker, plus and all the usual appliances. Opposite the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus an extra American style fridge/freezer with icemaker. It’s a great space for muddy boots and wet dogs. Finally there’s a down stairs toilet. In the cellar there’s a fantastic cinema room with twelve fold down cinema seats and a 75" Smart TV. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. EnglandSet 300 yards from the charming village of Staveley, these two lovely properties, Staveley Park (ref UK33713) and Staveley Park Studio (ref UK33716), are at the foot of the Kentmere Valley, between Kendal and Windermere. Both have been expertly renovated in 2021.
Staveley Park is a detached, Grade II listed property, set in its own grounds and offering spectacular views of the nearby woods, fells and countryside. Sleeping up to eight guests, it has four bedrooms. The second floor has a twin room with exposed beams and a contemporary en-suite shower room. On the first floor, the master bedroom features a four-poster super kingsize bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and lovely garden views. Two further spacious bedrooms have kingsize beds and pleasant views to the grounds, whilst the main family bathroom offers a separate bath and walk-in shower. The ground floor features two spacious living rooms with windows providing great views and each has a lovely wood burner for those cosy evenings. Here the River Gowan flows through the village and meets the River Kent, which provides a peaceful backdrop to the main street. Penrith, EnglandThis classic detached timber lodge enjoys an elevated position providing the perfect retreat for couples or an amazing base for a family holiday. The popular Glendowlin Lodge development is a small group of privately owned lodges which offer a peaceful and comfortable stay just 4 miles from Ullswater. The accommodation is spacious, well equipped and comes with private parking for 2 cars. There are farmer’s fields adjacent to the rear garden, which is lovely in the warmer months when the sheep are out grazing. From this point, you also have far reaching views of the Lakeland fells over to the West.
The lodge can comfortably sleep up to six guests in three good-sized bedrooms. A kingsize with en-suite shower, a double, and a bedroom with bunk beds - this room has an optional trundle bed giving families flexibility for three children sharing the same room. There is also a travel cot bed provided, which can be used in this bedroom if the trundle is not in use. All bedrooms have built in wardrobes, so you have plenty of storage space. The main bathroom features a shower over a bath.
