    Designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin for the original directors of The Kendal Windermere railway, Number One, the flagship house on The Terrace is now available as a holiday let sleeping 14 people. The house has been renovated in a boutique hotel style, whilst retaining the features which gave it its grade II listing. On the ground floor there is a beautiful hand made kitchen with 4 oven Aga, it’s a fabulous space to cook up a gastronomic delight. Next door is a large utility room for those muddy boots and dogs and a very posh downstairs toilet. The large lounge has sumptuous leather Chesterfield sofas to seat up to 20 people in front of the fire. Perhaps Number One’s most special feature is a bar/dining room/party room. We’ve designed the space around get togethers, it has the capacity for the occupants of both number One and Two The terrace to dine together or if you’ve taken even more of our 5 houses on The Terrace you can push the tables back and use the room as your very own bar. In the cellar there’s an 18 seat cinema with 75 inch Smart TV. Login to your Netflix or Amazon Prime account and go to the movies in the comfort of your own holiday home. On the first floor there are 4 double bedrooms each with their own unique style. Bedroom one is a king size with en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a super king size sleigh bed. Bedroom 3 is a standard double with antique style metal bedstead. Bedroom 4 is decorated and furnished in French style. There is also a large family bathroom with walk in wet room and huge free standing bath. The second floor is home to a room we affectionately call "The Dormitory", it has 4 single beds, the perfect place for the kids to disappear into. Next door is a double room with sloping feature eaves. There is an elegant bathroom with shower over bath and a second shower room.     White Moss is one of our 5 historic buildings designed by Augustus (AWN) Pugin to let on The Terrace in Windermere. The house sleeps up to twelve in five bedrooms. Downstairs there’s a living room with seating for fifteen people, the room has a wood burning stove and large flat screen TV. The dining room is quite regal, with large table seating 11. The room also has a wood burning stove. The kitchen is hand made solid pine, with two oven Aga and a second range cooker, plus and all the usual appliances. Opposite the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus an extra American style fridge/freezer with icemaker. It’s a great space for muddy boots and wet dogs. Finally there’s a down stairs toilet. In the cellar there’s a fantastic cinema room with twelve fold down cinema seats and a 75" Smart TV. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a king size 4 poster. Bedroom two is a cosy single. Bedroom 3 is a kingsize. Bedroom 4 has three single beds. There is a shower room with toilet and sink and a bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.     Nestled in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside Blaithwaite Estate is surrounded by 80 acres of estate grounds made up of 30 acres of gardens and grounds and 50 acres of woodland. Blaithwaite House (ref UKC1358) is a Grade II listed, detached country mansion which has been in the same family since the 1700s and is now available for guests to enjoy. The spacious country mansion is awash with original features from original ceiling roses and exquisite fireplaces to stained glass windows which adorn the building, helping it achieve its listed status. Comfortable accommodation is provided for up to forty people, in single, double and family rooms. The bedrooms, all but one room with en-suite facilities, enjoy views down to the sprawling front lawn and rose garden or across the courtyard.
    Blaithwaite House is set in a large mature garden, ideal for your children or the dog to play in, with manicured lawns and a charming walled rose garden with a beautiful summerhouse set on an island (the small ornamental water is over 300 meters from the property and down a set of stone steps).
    You don’t have to go too far to explore, as the estate grounds offer a wealth of activities available (at cost) are laser tag, or bushcraft, and seasonal event days or for something a little gentler (and no cost), play crazy golf, play on the play areas, and football fields, take a walk around the woodland including a specialist arboretum and wetlands that you can explore, you can even grab the estate nature passport to assist with your exploring!
