    On the ground floor of Crawshaw Cottage is an open-plan kitchen and diner with patio doors backing onto the lawned garden. The kitchen has everything in place for you to prepare a delicious meal which can be enjoyed around the dining room table, and there is also a sofa area here with a small TV. The sitting room offers ample seating to relax and enjoy a series or film on the Smart TV, a toilet is also available on the ground floor.
    Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master is a kingsize bed with TV and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom is made up of two twin beds which can be linked together to make a super-kingsize bed if requested, the third bedroom is a small room and only has a bunk bed with 4ft double on the bottom bunk and single bed on top. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside is a private garden which is enclosed and has garden furniture. You also have access to the garage where you can store bikes/luggage, and the driveway provides parking for one car but there is ample street parking directly outside as well.
    Buxton has a lot to offer for holiday makers, there are countless walking routes close by such as Solomans Temple or hop in the car to Tissington or High Peak trail. Castleton is a short drive where you can walk or explore the caverns or take a trip to Chatsworth House. Buxton town centre has many delicious restaurants, pubs and bars as well as independent cafés, a 5* spa plus the opera house with shows on weekly. Alton Towers is a short 45 minute drive away. There is something for all the family in this great area of the Peak District. Pub within 1 mile.

    Ash Cottage is located centrally to Buxton town centre, but far enough away that you can retreat to the quietness of the house. On the ground floor is a cosy and comfortable sitting room with a Smart TV and an electric fire, the perfect cosy space. The kitchen is fully equipped should you wish to cook anything during your stay and sit around the dining table to enjoy! The table can be folded away or pulled further out to suit your requirements. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the first having a double bed and the second providing two singles, and on this floor, you’ll also find a shower room with a large shower cubicle. The property is modern and finished to a nice standard giving you a happy place to return to at the end of your fun-filled day. Outside there is a small rear courtyard where you can securely store bikes or let out your furry friends.
    From the doorstep of Ash Cottage, you can walk to the many restaurants, bars and pubs that the town has to offer, as well as lovely cafés and independent shops. Buxton is also home to the opera house and Pavilion Gardens which often have things going on. There are many walks from the town, such as the High Peak trail and the Tissington trail, as well as Castleton and the caverns.
    Head to the neighbouring towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock, all having plenty of things to do, or delve into the history at Chatsworth House and Gardens. If you prefer something a little more thrill seeking then Alton Towers theme park is around a 45-minute drive, or Carsington Water has a large menu of water sports available, as well as a nice 8-mile walk or cycle around the reservoir spotting the wildlife. Buxton also has a train station which connects you directly to the city of Manchester where you can be within 1 hour with late trains back available.

Internally Buxton Holiday Home is light and airy with laminate flooring on the ground floor, perfect for walkers with muddy boots, or your four-legged friends. The large open plan living and dining area is a great size, leading to a conservatory to the rear, perfect for storing bikes and overlooks the back garden. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you would need to make your holiday special including meal times, whether cooking is your thing preparing tasty meals or just gathering in the evenings to watch TV. The property also benefits from a downstairs toilet. The conservatory can be used for bike storage, with blinds to cover all windows. If using the cot, please bring your own bedding.

It’s home to Poole’s Cavern, an extensive limestone cave open to the public, and St Ann’s Well, fed by the geothermal spring sold worldwide by Buxton Mineral Water Company. Also in town is Buxton Opera House, which hosts several annual festivals. There is a vast array of restaurants, pubs and bars to be enjoyed, all within walking distance. There is a train line directly behind the property, and Buxton also has a train station with trains running directly into Manchester’s Piccadilly.

This ancient village is set in lovely moorland countryside, six miles to the southeast of Buxton. The River Dove flows to the north, the River Manfold to the south and large numbers of visitors came here to explore the upper reaches of these two famous valleys and the rugged scenery that surrounds them. The village is well equipped with a local store, a fish and chip shop, a newly refurbished pub, post office and Sweetilicious sweetie shop.     There are many stunning walks right from the doorstep and the property has the benefit of being close to many interesting Derbyshire towns and villages including Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell, famous for its puddings, and Castleton with its amazing show caves and cliff top Peveril Castle. Attractions include stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, the Heights of Abraham, a cable car ride high above the gorge and Blue John Caves known for its semi-precious Blue John Stone. Buxton Opera House is also worth checking out to see what’s on.
