Recently built in 2022, the property sits alongside the owner’s home on a working farm (dogs are present on the farm, but will be with the owners), and is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just outside the town of Ottery St. Mary. This cosy rural retreat offers a great base for a couple or a family looking to explore the delights of the beautiful county of Devon, and the unique experience of the deer being able to wander right up to the fence bordering the property’s garden whilst relaxing in the private hot tub.
As you enter Deer View Retreat, you will be welcomed into the entrance area with patio doors opening out into the garden, the perfect cosy spot to enjoy a mug of coffee with a good book. This then leads through to the open plan living and dining area where you can wind down and watch a film after a busy day exploring the coastline or enjoy a family meal together. Enjoy your breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen whilst taking in the far reaching views, the stag with his magnificent antlers and the ever-changing scenery. There’s also a handy utility area next door.
Discover the two stylish bedrooms and the bathroom on the first floor. The first has a double bed, the second is furnished with zip and link twin beds, and the shower room is fitted with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink.
The town of Ottery St. Mary has beautiful architecture and historic buildings lining the streets, backed by rural Devonshire countryside. Wander through the centre to browse independent shops and galleries or stroll along the River Otter to admire the unusual Tumbling Weir. If you’re exploring beyond the town, you’ll be close to the quintessential East Devon coastal towns and villages of Budleigh Salterton, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Seaton. Exeter and Honiton are also within easy reach. The Southwest Coast Path is nearby and keen hikers should head to Dartmoor National Park with is just a 30-minute drive away. Oaklands is a luxurious and spacious holiday home set in its own acre of ground, with three beautiful bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, dining and living area all on the same level. Perfect for a family or a group of friends to relax and get away from it all with plenty of opportunities to spot the neighbouring wildlife in the surrounding fields. The doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and ramps can be provided over the doorways if requested, however please note the property hasn’t been specifically set-up for wheelchair users so the kitchen and bathrooms may not be suitable The accommodation feels bright and welcoming with high beamed ceilings, underfloor heating throughout and plenty of large windows, patio doors and sliding doors seamlessly blending the living spaces with the outdoor landscape. Guests will love the rural tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies, distant views of Dartmoor and beautiful scenery that this perfect get away can offer.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with a farmhouse cooker with two ovens and an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a washing machine. After a fun-filled day exploring Devon, gather your friends and family around the large dining table for a celebratory homecooked meal and relax on the comfortable sofas and armchairs or sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.
There are three comfortably furnished bedrooms. The master has a kingsize bed, an en-suite shower room and patio doors opening out onto the beautiful decked area. The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and the third has twin beds. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, wash basin, and a mirror with a shaver socket.

Reuben’s is situated in the hamlet of Boreston which lies a short distance from Moreleigh, with amenities including a village inn and good access to the principal South Hams towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Totnes. Please note this is a rural property. Roads in the vicinity are often narrow, single track with passing places typical of the region. Totnes is 6 miles away and offers a wide range of activities and pursuits. There is also a main line rail station at Totnes with services to London Paddington. The A38 dual carriageway is approximately 4 miles away and provides good access to the cities of Plymouth and Exeter. Reuben’s is a generously proportioned, detached barn conversion with good high ceilings, exposed stonework, large fireplace with inset wood burner, impressive farmhouse style kitchen with double doors opening onto terrace area, exposed solid wood flooring throughout the living area and well maintained lawned gardens with parking. There are many golf courses close by, beaches, sailing, nature reserves for bird watching and over 52 miles of glorious coastline where there are some stunning walks. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit. For the children, there is Crealy Adventure park, or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary. Paignton Place is a fantastic holiday accommodation sleeping up to 6 guests in total including the sofa bed in the living room. Boasting off road parking and an enclosed rear garden including hot tub.

As you enter the property you find yourself in the entrance hallway. To your left is a superking sized bedroom and to your right is the bright and airy living/dining room. The door to the fully equipped kitchen is also on your left with French doors leading out into the enclosed rear garden, boasting projector screen and hot tub. Perfect for relaxing after a long day at the beach! There is also a bathroom located on the ground floor with full sized bath and separate shower enclosure. On the first floor is where another bedroom is located, again with superking sized bed and bathroom just across the hallway with bath and shower enclosure also.

Paignton Place is situated just outside of Paignton town, away from the hustle and bustle while still being within short driving distance of everything the town has to offer. There are nearby shops just down the road from the property and in the opposite direction a local pub/restaurant. Venture into Paignton town to experience the arcades, cinema, crazy golf, beach and pier to name just a few. Whether wanting to experience Paignton itself or explore further afield such as Torquay and Brixham, making up the beautiful English Riviera, Paignton place is a fantastic place to start. Not to mention surrounding areas such as Kingswear, Dartmouth, Teignmouth and the local city of Exeter.

Wrens Perch offers fabulous views overlooking Brixham harbour and beyond to the sea. The property was renovated in 2018 to a good contemporary standard with stylish fittings, appliances, atmospheric lighting and quality soft furnishings throughout.
