    Scenery Cottage is a quaint cottage in the centre of the ancient village of Bridford, high up on the eastern edge of Dartmoor. The cottage, which accommodates up to four adults, is believed to be over 200 years old and was once the village school. Scenery Cottage is close to the 17th century Thomas Becket Church as well as the highly recommended Bridford Inn. Best of all, the cottage looks out over wonderful scenery (hence the name) and there are stunning walks literally from the doorstep. Whilst it is the perfect place for a long weekend break, there is more than enough to do and see to reward an extended stay too. The magical waterfalls, lakes and ancient woodlands of Canonteign Falls are just 4 miles away as well as the Teign Valley Golf Course. The wild bird sanctuary and reserve at Dawlish Warren is nearby, as is Dartmoor National Park which offers excellent opportunities for outdoor pursuits including walks around the local reservoirs and to explore the various different tors on the moorland.

Go Ape and Go Segway are based at Haldon Forest as well as a range of four walking and five cycling trails to suit all abilities.
