Located in the historic town of Faversham, within the conservation area of the abbey, and as such, has been noted as one of the finest examples of a medieval street in Britain, where antique and craft shops, quaint tea rooms and old English pubs are in abundance.

The side door of this property opens straight into the cosy lounge with comfy sofas that you can curl up on in front of the wood burner and enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. From the lounge, walk through to the formal dining room with a dining table and seating for six before entering the light and bright kitchen/dining room with two sets of French doors out into the garden. The kitchen/diner offers everything you’ll need for whipping up delicious meals with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. While cooking, chefs can chat to other guests sitting at the large farmhouse table in the dining area, where there is also a Smart TV. A traditional Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and toasty and is the perfect spot for your four-legged friend to curl up in front of. There is also a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and toilet. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious kingsize with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet and two double bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath, shower and toilet.

Take a stroll to the nearby brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection; there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich ’Oare Wildlife Marshes’ is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

Mews Cottage is a beautifully presented two-bedroom, semi-detached holiday home set in the heart of Tintagel on the Northern Cornish coast. It is an original Cornish stone and slate dwelling. Whilst being within a few seconds walk on a private walk way to the hustle and bustle of Tintagel Village, you can still enjoy the peaceful serenity that Mews Cottage offers being in a small secluded area from the village. Mews has a free parking permit available which is provided by the owners.

After an action-packed day exploring the coast, enter into the kitchen/dining area where you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catered break. Head into the spacious lounge where you can unwind on the comfortable seating, watch a film on the smart TV whilst enjoying the glows of the electric wood burner in the background. This warm and light room has double doors which lead into the enclosed courtyard area which can create a fresh and airy feel throughout the entire day. Perfect for enjoying the warm Cornish evenings or a morning coffee. An absolute sun trap. Upstairs are two cosy bedrooms, wonderfully presented with high apexed ceilings displaying exposed wooden beams. The master bedroom offers a kingsize bed and next door is the light and airy twin bedroom. A shower room with heated towel rail completes the picture. Enjoy the fantasitic span of the countryside and a distant sea view.
Mews Cottage is just a few steps from the main street, with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and Tintagel Castle, the mythical home of King Arthur. There is also a good bus serivce in Tintagel so you have the option of leaving the car. The coast is within a 10-minute walk and the nearest beach at Bossiney Cove is just 1.3 miles away or a 25-minute walk across the fields. Within easy reach are the coastal villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac, the latter made famous by the TV series, ’Doc Martin’. Further along the coast are the golden, sandy beaches of Rock and Polzeath. Plenty of walking and local paths perfect for the family, and prime dog walking places on the doorstep of Mews Cottage. Trebarwith Strand a 10 minutes drive is a perfect beach for this, dog friendly all year round, but is also accessable via the coastal path past St Materiana’s church. If walking is more of what you are looking for then you are spoilt for choice, with 214 Wainwright fells within easy reach you have plenty of options to choose from. There are also an abundance of cycling routes close by or if you want to go further afield, there are many other popular Lake District towns to explore such as Grasmere and Ulverston. Why not head over to Grange-over-Sands or Cartmel, famous for its sticky toffee pudding, Michelin star restaurant and horse racing. This really is the perfect holiday home to enjoy an active and fun family holiday. Beach 8 miles.

Fraisthorpe Beach is perfect for dog walking and horse riding and is popular with locals for exercising horses all year round. The village of Brandesburton is home to a couple of pubs offering traditional ales and bar meals, alongside a number of shops and restaurants. A short drive brings you to the pretty Wolds town of Beverley offering a host of independent shops, cafés and restaurants. A day at Beverley Races or a round of golf at one of the many local golf courses are sure to keep everyone entertained. The seaside town of Hornsea is on the doorstep and with pony rides, ice-cream and fish and chips is a lovely unspoilt family destination. There is so much to do and see in the surrounding area including the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs and the Nature Reserve at Sprun Point. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
