The modern industrial style kitchen has been impressively finished with wooden block work surfaces, and outside you’ll find a cute, enclosed patio area perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
Standing of the banks of the River Weaver and Shropshire Union Canal, Nantwich is a medieval market town with a cool modern edge. Whilst meandering around the atmospheric pedestrianised centre you’ll see historic timbered buildings housing lots of little independent shops, pubs and cafés that accommodate most tastes. The traditional indoor market hall is open three times a week, and in the summer the town centre really comes alive with floral displays throughout the streets and the town square festooned with bunting. Quite uniquely there’s a heated outdoor Brine Pool (May-Sep) and the town also plays host to many events throughout the year, including the legendary Jazz, Blues and Music Festival at Easter and the world-famous International Cheese Awards in July. For some local tastes Nantwich is also home to Sungburys Award Winning Ice Cream Farm and Chatwins Bakery which was established in the town over one hundred years ago.
Outside of Nantwich nearby Audlem (15 minutes) offers a range of shops that attract many visitors, or you can cross the border into Shropshire and visit Whitchurch and the beautiful countryside that surrounds it. A little further afield is the county town Shrewsbury, or magnificent cities of both Chester and Manchester which can be reached in around an hour’s drive or by train from Nantwich station which is just 0.5 miles away. For those who like to explore the great outdoors you can pick up the Sandstone Trail in nearby Tarporley, visit the castles of Beeston and Cholmondeley or head to Delamere Forest all of which can be reached in around 30 minutes. With the North Wales coastline also just an hour away you really are spoilt for choice.

The living room features a 4-seat sofa, foot stool and Freeview TV with direct access to front and rear patio areas, there is also a separate toilet. Upstairs there are two comfortable double bedrooms, with wardrobes and bedside tables, which both open out onto the staircase landing to enter the bathroom.
Sandbach is a historic and charming town that can be found in wonderful South Cheshire. It offers all the best requisites of modern living with shops, bars and restaurants catering for most tastes. Day Green Barns is in close proximity to the M6 motorway, which makes it an ideal location for easy access to attractions throughout Cheshire, and the surrounding counties. The surrounding area boasts a wide range of attractions including the National Trusts sites, equestrian venues such as Somerford park, numerous walks in locations such as the peak district and Delamere Forest.

Attractions nearby include the respective castles of Peckforton, Beeston and Cholmondley which can all be reached in 10–15 minutes, as can the world’s largest ice cream parlour at The Ice Cream Farm Tattenhall. Drift House is well located for events at Bolesworth Castle including Car Fest North and the International Horse Show. For anyone looking to explore the area on bike, the Sandstone Ridge provides quiet lanes over rolling hills with great café and lunch spots to break up your route, and off road trails are found at Delamere, and Llandegla Mountain Biking centre for the more adventurous riders. Secure bike storage is available at the property, although bikes can also be hired at local trail centres. Children will enjoy The Crocky Trail, Delamere Forest and Wild Shore Delamere which can all be reached in around 30 minutes, and for those seeking pampering or golf, a 10-minute drive will take you to a luxury country estate with spa and leisure facilities, together with two championship golf courses.
The centre of Manchester can be reached in around an hour, Liverpool in around 45 minutes or the historic city walls of Chester in around half an hour. Blackhill Gate Cottage is set in an unrivalled rural location offering superb panoramic countryside views across the stunning scenery of the Peak District National Park. Crossing the Derbyshire and Cheshire boundary on the outskirts of the pretty Peak District village of Kettleshulme, this holiday cottage is located next to a field which at times is home to nursery lambs, and offers fine walking direct from the door through the valley of Todd Brook, Bowstones, Taxal Edge and into the Goyt Valley. Kettleshulme itself is home to a 15th century country pub which offers a warm welcome and freshly cooked meals. The town of Whaley Bridge with its mix of shops, bars and restaurants plus train station with direct service to both Manchester and Buxton is a 5 minute drive. The National Trust Lyme Park with its glorious house and gardens can be reached on foot or by car and the magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and the popular market town of Bakewell, 45 minute’s drive. A variety of Peak District villages are all easily reachable within half an hour’s drive including Edale, Tideswell and Castleton, and great days out for the family within an hour’s drive include the local Chestnut Centre Wildlife Park, Carsington Water, Matlock Bath with is cable car and the UK’s premier theme park Alton Towers.
