When you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a large open plan living, kitchen and dining area which becomes flooded with natural light. Whether you want to prepare a delicious home cooked meal for the family, gather around the table or relax in front of the TV with a good film, this is the most inviting space. Ash Lodge also has three cosy bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an additional living and dining area on the first floor which opens out onto a delightful private balcony.

From the living area you can step through the sliding doors onto your own private, decked terrace. On a sunny day you can sit on the comfy chairs, sheltered under the parasol and enjoy a glass of wine or a bite to eat. There’s even a barbecue provided for those summer festivities.

If you don’t fancy venturing too far away from the lodge, there’s plenty on your doorstep to keep you occupied. On-site you’ll find a restaurant and bar, pitch and putt, tennis court and for the adventurous, the Flow Rider wave machine. To see more of the stunning beauty that Cornwall has to offer, you won’t have to travel far to reach picturesque Padstow and its fantastic restaurants.

This large and spacious detached house is right in the middle of Cornwall and only 7 miles from each coast. It is the perfect spot for families to reunite and enjoy this stunning county. The village sits only two minutes from the A30, making it a great touring base - you really can go anywhere from here very easily. This house is brimming with history, not only because of its name ‘Littlewood’, so named as it was built by the very first winners of the Littlewoods football pools. During the 60s and 70s, the house was a secret retreat for celebrities and pop and rock stars to hide away from the glare of the media, and to get together, play some music and party. The house has had many guests including Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Marsha Hunt and The Small Faces. St Columb Road, with its branch line station sits on the Newquay to Par train line, meaning you can stroll down the road and catch a train to Newquay on the north coast or to Par on the south coast, where you can connect with the mainline train and tour Cornwall without the need to drive.
Newquay Airport is a mere 3 miles away with links to the Scilly Isles, London Gatwick and many more UK airports, which means that you could fly down making your stay a car-free trip. Newquay, with its 11 beaches and vibrant surf culture including many excellent schools and hire shops, is a great place to unwind on the sandy beaches, walk along the dramatic coast path or simply relax in a beachside bar or restaurant. The town has a zoo and working harbour where you can take a sea fishing trip to catch supper for the barbecue back at the house.
Padstow, home to Rick Stein’s foodie empire including a cookery school and seafood restaurant, is a must. The town, with its narrow cobbled streets that gravitate towards the pretty working harbour, is a delight, a jewel on this stunning coast. Walk the streets, enjoy a pint or enjoy a pasty, try a cream tea (jam first) or hire bikes at one of the many cycle hire shops. Cycle on the Camel Trail, a flat multi-use trail that clings to the shoreline of the Camel River as it flows inland towards the market town of Wadebridge, and eventually Bodmin and Bodmin Moor. You could also cycle through the village and up onto Goss Moor, following the heritage cycle route. After taking in the ancient moors and clay works, why not stop off and enjoy a treat on your return at the village’s acclaimed fish and chip shop?
The south coast, 7 miles, with its more forgiving temperate climate, is easily reached, and a whole new world opens up in Charlestown, a World Heritage Site and home to sailing ships. The town is regularly used as a television and film set, most recently for Poldark and Taboo and many Hollywood films. The village is full of great local pubs, art shops and galleries, and has its own spectacular beach and harbour.
Truro, Fowey, Mevagissey, St Austell and The Roseland Peninsula are all easily reached too and all worth a day out. St Ives, Lostwithiel, Falmouth and Penzance are all easily reached either by car or by train, making Littlewood the perfect spot to enjoy this amazing county. Welcome to Hobby Lodge, a stunning timber lodge nestling in beautiful woodland within easy access of the A30 main road through Cornwall. Beautifully constructed to a very high standard throughout, there is parking for 3 cars on your private driveway, a wonderful, spacious decking area with an array of garden furniture and purpose-built BBQ. The bespoke dining area has been recently created, with wooden table, a mixture of bench style seating and chairs. The kitchen has all the appliances you may need. Bedroom one has a gorgeous kingsize bed and en-suite shower cubicle. Bedroom two has a further kingsize bed, whilst bedroom three has twin beds. The family bathroom boasts a double walk-in shower.

Just minutes from iconic Padstow, with its many excellent restaurants that line the narrow streets. Home to TV chef Rick Stein’s foodie empire, this picturesque fishing village offers many attractions from the culinary to the outdoors. The Camel Trail, a flat 18-mile trail that hugs the shoreline of the Camel estuary and travels inland to the delightful market town of Wadebridge, before leading on to Bodmin and the surrounding moors, is an absolute must. You can hire a bike and cycle the trail, in part or all 18 miles - a firm favourite with locals and tourists.

Newquay, Polzeath, Mawgan Porth, Watergate Bay plus other hidden coves along this coastline provide some of the best surfing spots in the UK. Padstow harbour also has many day boats that provide fishing trips so you might catch your evening’s supper! There is a huge amount to do on the Lizard, from exploring the little fishing villages, Porthallow, Cadgwith or Coverack and sampling the local wealth of pubs and restaurants. Glorious clifftop walks, such as The Lizard itself, stunning sandy beaches like Coverack, Kennack Sands, Kynance Cove (which should be experienced), Poldhu or Loe Bar, which stretches from Gunwalloe all the way to Porthleven, tourist locations like Flambards, Poldark Mine or Goonhilly. The Helford River is beautiful and is surrounded by five little creeks, the most famous being Frenchman’s Creek, the eponymous title by Daphne Du Maurier based on the love affair between an impulsive English lady and a French pirate.
There are some breath-taking coastal walks, which really should include a trip around the Lizard Lighthouse, Britain’s most southerly point, on a clear, windy day there cannot be many more dramatic places in the country, the Lizard point is famous for shipwrecks and from May to October the Cornish coast is carpeted with a variety of colourful wildflowers. At the heart of the Lizard stands a 13th-century church, famous for its ornate woodwork decorating the end of each pew and depicting scenes from the Old and New Testament. Kynance Cove is a tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks. Poldhu Cove, also known as Black Pool Cove, is a lovely west-facing sandy beach suitable for lots of fun activities, from building sandcastles to beach volleyball and rocks to explore at low tide and great for swimming, surfing and windsurfing.
