Cosy and warm in the winter and cool and airy in the summer the grain stores provide a well equipped home from home. There’s a sunny south-facing garden, with a hideaway den with day bed, in which to enjoy an afternoon snooze. With no light pollution, there’s ample opportunity for star-gazing the dark skies.
    Little Polgrain Barns are in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s a walker’s paradise, with flower-filled lanes giving way to stunning coastal scenery. A stroll along the lane beings you to the hamlet of Portholland, a pretty cove with a history of smuggling. The pubs at St Ewe and Tregony are local family and dog friendly pubs, within a few miles radius. Unspoilt sandy beaches, ancient fishing harbours, tiny art galleries, great seaside cafes and pubs makes this a place with something for everyone.     Stone Farm Cottage is a beautifully presented granite cottage with rolling rural views derelict tin mine engine houses dot the landscape and there are magnificent sea views from the top of the garden.     Bojewyan is a small settlement to the east of Pendeen which is famous for its industrial heritage. Pendeen village has a general store and Post office and there are four local pubs serving food. Three of these, as well as a takeaway fish and chip shop and a Spanish tapas restaurant, are all within a 2-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from the property.
    The St Just area has a rich mining history and has now been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and is also in one of the twelve Cornish Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Pendeen Lighthouse and the secluded Portheras Cove and beach are a mile to the north. The open plan living space has an elegant, yet homely feel. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the second bedroom also has an en-suite which is also accessed from the hallway.
    Situated just north of Bude with fabulous access to all of the glorious beaches including Northcott Mouth beach and Sandymouth a bit further to the north, both of which have glorious expanses of golden sand at low tide. Bude itself has a wealth of restaurants, pubs, cafés, and galleries, a great playground and interesting canal. Further north and you are over the border into Devon where Clovelly is well worth a visit. The property adjoins another house, although the garden and driveway shown in the photos is exclusive to Skyber Barnacott.
    The closest village to Skyber Barnacott is Kilkhampton which dates back to before Saxon times. There you can find the remains of a 12th century motte and bailey style Norman castle.
