This area of the Peak District is fantastic for exploring the countryside. The High Peak trail and the Tissington trail are both within 3 miles of the huts as well as recognised cycle routes. Dovedale is a must to visit whilst in the area, read up on the history of the steppingstones and take the walk yourselves up Thorpe Cloud where you will see breath-taking views well worth the hike. If you are more of a thrill seeker Alton Towers is only a 20-minute drive which makes a fun day out for all the family or take on some water sports at Carsington reservoir.
    After all this enjoy a nice meal in the evening at the local pub. Foxglove and Forget-me-not are two similar shepherds’ huts, both finished to an incredible standard with home comforts in mind. The open plan living space has a double bunk bed allowing space for four guests, a dining area with a TV, there is also Wi-Fi provided and electric radiators. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, hob and fridge, plus there is a shower room within the hut. Outside a barbecue and firepit are provided with outdoor furniture, overlooking the fields.

    With a stylish blend of old and new throughout, the ground floor has a cosy living room with oak beams and wood burner, a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen, a reading area with sofa bed (for children under 12), a utility room and a bathroom with a corner bath. Upstairs are four rooms: a spacious master bedroom with kingsize bed; a second bedroom with double bed; and the third bedroom with a single bed and a 2ft 6in bed. An upstairs shower room completes this restored property.
    Outside, visitors can enjoy the spacious open area with garden ponds and a stream. The grounds, which are shared with the neighbouring holiday cottage, are very large and provide the ideal place where you can fly kites, play ball games or just to relax on a quiet evening watching the sun set whilst enjoying a spot of alfresco dining.
