The magnificent historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall can both be reached in around 20 minutes, and the towns of Buxton, Ashbourne and Matlock in around half an hour.     Enjoy quality family time by staying in the beautiful area of the Peak District on the owner’s working livestock farm, where there is no light pollution and a great location for stargazing at night. Carr View (Ref UK36953) is one of two holiday properties finished to an extremely high standard and the owner takes great pride in ensuring you have the perfect stay. On the ground floor you will enter into the boot room, which has a neatly placed washing machine in a cupboard, kick your boots off and enter into the beautifully designed open plan kitchen which has all you need to enjoy your self-catering holiday with the dining room which has ample seating for six guests made up of chairs and a bench. The living room is very cosy with comfy sofas and an electric wood burner to bring a wonderful sense of relaxation to the room. Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with zip and link beds that can be made into twins on request, the master bedroom has a slightly larger bed and an en-suite. The family bathroom carries the same quality as the rest of the house and has been done beautifully, with walk in shower and bath.
    Outside is a garden with a patio area and lawn, perfect to watch the sun rise and set. There is also a river running through the site, and a lake giving the opportunity for some cold water wild swimming!
    The helpful owners, that live on-site, are on hand should you need anything, and provide luxury towels, complimentary toiletries, a welcome pack and even a Christmas tree for holidays throughout December.
    There are electric car charging points just 5 minutes away in The Anglers Rest pub car park, and just 10 minutes away in the Hope village car park.
    The location of this property offers seclusion with many fantastic countryside walks from the doorstep and a National Cycle Route nearby, so you wouldn’t really need to take the car. Or alternatively, a short drive into Castleton to visit the caves or venture into nearby towns of Bakewell and Buxton. Absorb the life of a working farm in the Peak District by visiting the cows, watching the lambs play and the chickens from the dining room window. Independent shops sit alongside the deli, butchers, and bakers, with a strong local food ethic. Visitors will enjoy the Heritage Centre and the delightful surrounding countryside including nearby Carsington Water, Black Rocks, and the High Peak Trail. Rock climbing and cycling can be enjoyed here at every level, and there are good walking routes all around. Well dressing is unique to Derbyshire, and Wirksworth combines this tradition with a lively carnival in May, and a leading rural annual arts festival in September, showcasing contemporary art and international performers of every kind. With an art deco independent cinema and a range of places to eat there is plenty to keep you entertained. The town offers a leisure centre with a climbing wall and a small trainer swimming pool, an Eco Centre, and the Mount Cook Adventure Centre. The weekly market and monthly farmers’ market provide local produce and crafts.
