Bee Keepers Cottage is located on a working farm on the edge of Derbyshire’s Peak District, the cottage overlooks the 18 hole golf course at Shirland Golf and country club where visitors day passes are available.

The cottage has beautiful rural views and offers guests the peace and quiet of rural living yet within easy access of local attractions and transport networks, and there is a golf course boarding the property’s grounds and miles of footpath networks adjacent to the farm.

The accommodation at Bee Keepers cottage is spaced over a single storey and offers light, bright accommodation with beautiful gardens and views of the rolling Derbyshire countryside.

Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Crich tramway museum are a short drive away. Local towns include Matlock, Bakewell and Chesterfield. Derby and Nottinghamshire are a 20-minute drive.

The location is popular with walkers who enjoy the beautiful walks and trails straight from the doorstep.

All accommodation is on the ground floor. The Large modern kitchen/dining area to seat 6 and opens out onto the living area with Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric eye level oven, built in microwave, induction hob, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.

Two bedrooms have king size beds, and the third a single bed, and there is a family bathroom with bath and shower above – there is also an additional shower room with quadrant shower cubicle, toilet and basin.

Outside there are two seating areas, a BBQ, gardens and plenty of off-road parking.

Guests are welcome to visit the horses in the barn next to the property (prior arrangement with the owner), please supervise children for their safety.

Situated in a tranquil neighbourhood, this cosy accommodation offers a comfortable and relaxing stay for your holiday. The holiday property features two spacious double bedrooms, each equipped with its own TV for your entertainment. Additionally, there is a single bedroom, perfect for a child. The walk-in shower room provides modern facilities and convenience. On the ground floor, you’ll find an open plan sitting and dining space. Relax on the comfortable sofas while watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV. The kitchen is well-equipped with essential amenities allowing you to prepare meals and enjoy them at the dining table. For your convenience, there is a utility space with a washing machine, and it also provides ample space to store bikes if you plan on exploring the area on two wheels.
Outside, you’ll find a lovely patio garden with outdoor furniture, where you can unwind and enjoy the fresh air. There is parking available for one car on the property, and ample roadside parking also available.
Inkersall and the surrounding area offer a variety of activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy. Take advantage of the beautiful countryside and explore the walking trails in the area. The nearby Peak District National Park offers stunning landscapes, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes. The Five Pits Trail and the Chesterfield Canal towpath are popular choices for leisurely walks.
Just a short drive away, Bolsover Castle is a magnificent historic site. Explore the castle’s well-preserved rooms, gardens, and enjoy panoramic views from the wall walk. Set over two floors, this quirky, delightful cottage has traditional charm and character throughout. There are three lovely bedrooms, (steps into bedrooms) with comfortable beds for a perfect night’s sleep. Upstairs there is a shower room and toilet. Downstairs in the open plan living/dining room you can relax on the comfy sofas and read one of the many available books, including books of walks, and light the wood burner during the colder months. There are plenty of leaflets and information about places to visit and things to do as well as information on restaurants and takeaways. The pretty kitchen (steps into kitchen) also has a breakfast table to gather around whilst planning the day ahead with a cup of tea. There is a downstairs bathroom with a bath and shower over, and toilet. To the rear of the property, guests will love the small but quirky courtyard with seats and table to relax quietly or at the front of the property is a small seating area where you can relax and watch the sun go down.
There are wonderful walks from the door, you are on the Limestone Way and a few minutes drive from all manner of interesting places. Take a stroll through the village of Bonsall, where you will find a welcoming pub, only a 5 minute walk away, serving home-cooked meals and local ales. There is also the Barley Mow, about 10 minutes’ walk away, famous for hen races, strong man challenges and extra-terrestrial visitors. There are also the delightful tea rooms, a small village shop, and the beautiful Cascade Gardens for a peaceful stroll around. The Parish Church, St James, is opposite the cottage and on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays (12.00 -3.00)you can have homemade soup and cakes, and at a ridiculously low price.
Just a short drive away is Matlock, with antique and charity shops and the Peak Rail vintage steam railway. There is a Wednesday market in the centre of Matlock, a lovely prize-winning park and swings and boating for the children. Head over to Matlock Bath, visit Gullivers Kingdom for a family day out or catch an Alpine-style cable car to The Heights of Abraham, which offers cavern tours, or treat the little ones to feed the fish in the aquarium and play the arcades. There are lots of cafes and mountains of fish and chips!
Continue down to Wirksworth where you can treat the family to a film at the quirky independent cinema, learn more about the village at the Heritage Centre or explore the Puzzle Gardens. Visit the National Stone Centre, pan for gems and have a coffee. Cromford is home to Arkwright’s Mills, founded by Richard Arkwright, the first factory system in the world and a Word Heritage site, with displays, antiques and very good scones! Be sure to make time for a trip to Bakewell, home to a historic 13th-century five-arched bridge that leads you to the bustling town centre filled with restaurants, tearooms and pubs, as well as dessert shops offering the famous Bakewell Pudding. Don’t forget to stop by the grand stately home of Chatsworth House, where you can tour the magnificent interiors and extensive gardens. Not far away are National Trust properties, Hardwick Hall and Kedleston, both are amazing. You could visit the Plague Village, Eyam, and walk the town trail which follows the course of the plague as it ripped through Eyam. The villagers decided to cut themselves off from the outside and the plague never reached the rest of Derbyshire although many people in Eyam died. There is a very good museum. Castleton is the only place where Blue John is mined and you can buy beautiful jewellery in the town.
Carsington Resevoir is a few miles away, with lovely walks, a cafe, and exhibitions. Church Street Cottage really is a special find in this part of the wonderful Peak District Park, and there is so much to do!

Step into Ryecroft Cottage and wander through the light and airy hallway into the lounge and admire the views of Riber Castle on the hilltop above from the large window.
Relax on the comfortable seating, light the woodburning fire and put your feet up with a good book. There is a second lounge also with a woodburning stove, Smart TV and comfy sofa and chairs giving all your party a place to relax. The kitchen offers a electric cooker and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and convenient access to the outside area with lawned garden and patio area. Going up to the first floor, you will find a beautiful family bedroom with a double bed and single bed. The second bedroom also has a double bed, and the bathroom has a separate shower and bath.
Situated at the top of a hill that runs down into Matlock town centre, you’ll find there is host of things to see and do on your doorstep, including an array of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. There is a weekly market, and within easy reach are the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall both ideal for whiling away an afternoon.
The Matlock Bath Illuminations and firework display are especially popular with kids and adults alike in autumn. Just a short drive will take you to the nearby picturesque market town of Bakewell which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and is a delightful place for meandering through the various shops, cafés and restaurants. Once you have had your first visit to Ryecroft you will want to return time and time again!

Yew Tree Cottage is located in the quaint village of Holymoorside, one of the many hamlets in Chesterfield. It is home to two fantastic pubs, one of which is owned by Peak Ales meaning it has fantastic local beers on offer, and the second pub’s head chef featured on the Great British Menu and offers fantastic food options. There are ample walks directly from the door or a little further you can reach trails taking you to Linacre reservoir or into Matlock which is the next town on. The town is full of high street shops, great restaurants and there are many tourist attractions locally such as Chatsworth House which is only 6 miles away.
As you arrive at Yew Tree Cottage you are greeted by a fantastic garden with stunning views over the village and the countryside, enter the cottage into the spacious, social space the kitchen offers, with breakfast bar, dining table, sofa and skylight windows with an unspoilt view of the sky, there is a snug just off from here with comfortable sofa, TV and log burner. Also on the ground floor is a shower room which has a handy storage area for boots and coats and the main living room offering comfortable seating, a large TV with Sky and a second wood burner. Up the stairs to the first floor is the family shower room, a single, spacious bedroom and also a twin bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. Centrally located, just 15 minutes north of the hugely popular tourist town of Bakewell and 15 minutes south of the Peaks most famous village Castleton, its position within the Peak District itself makes it an ideal base.
