Silkstone Crescent is a four bedroom detached property located in this sought after development. It offers easy and modern living perfect as a base for you and your family to enjoy the Peaks. On the ground floor there is a garage, toilet, dining room, lounge and a kitchen fully equipped with all you should need for the duration of your stay. On the first floor there are four bedrooms made up of a single, one double, bunk bed and a master double with en-suite walk-in shower. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower. Outside there is parking for two cars and an enclosed lawned garden with patio area.

This holiday home is located a short drive from Buxton’s town centre, in the village of Harpur Hill, which has a shop, chip shop, good pub serving home made food and great ales and a convenient trail route for a brisk 45 minute walk. Buxton’s town centre has a variety of restaurants serving different cuisines, independent shops and cafés plus it is home to Buxton’s Opera House with shows on weekly, and the Pavillion Gardens which is lovely to walk around in the afternoon. Further afield you can visit Castleton and check out the caverns by boat, explore other towns such as Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock, visit Chatsworth House and soak in some history or take a stroll on the nearest well known route, the High Peak trail which has pubs and ice cream stops en route.

Bakewell is the largest town in the Peak District National Park and is the perfect base from which to explore everything that this beautiful part of the country has to offer. Skye House itself is located just a short 10-minute walk from Bakewell town centre.

Head up a flight of steps to the front door where you enter the hallway of this beautiful home, finished to a high, modern standard. The property offers two lounges, the first main lounge leads off from the kitchen and has a Smart TV, the second lounge is classed as the snug with dark interiors, a wood burner and a Smart TV making it a lovely cosy spot to enjoy the evening together with friends and family. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all the appliances you should require during your stay such as dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and Nespresso coffee maker and there is a large dining table with chairs and bench ensuring there is ample space for all guests to enjoy a meal together. The boot room which contains a downstairs toilet has a door to the rear path making it the ideal entrance after a day’s walking and is perfect for storing muddy boots and walking gear. For those guests who have brought their dog the owners have provided a dog bath with a hot and cold dog shower so there is no need to worry about muddy paws.

On the first floor are three of the four bedrooms, these include a super king zip and link which can be made into two twin beds on request, a double bedroom, and a twin room with and Xbox for younger guests to enjoy. The family bathroom is located on the first floor with a bath and separate shower. On the second floor is the fourth and final bedroom with a super king zip and link bed, plus a pull out small since bed suitable for a child if this is required. The second bathroom is situated on the second floor with a bath with a shower attachment. Outside there is a lovely garden area which includes a pergola where you can sit and enjoy the view over fields. There is a raised patio area with high quality, comfortable furniture with sunshade and a BBQ so you can relax and enjoy dinning alfresco whilst watching the sheep in the field behind. Behind the house there is an additional bistro set located in the perfect spot to catch the early evening sun.
Parking for the property is roadside directly opposite the house with additional unrestricted parking slightly further up the road.

Leave the car behind and explore Bakewell itself with its quaint and classic shop fronts and many independent shops. Visit the famous Bakewell pudding shop or any of the many other cafes, restaurants, and pubs that Bakewell has to offer. Take a stroll along the River Wye which runs through the centre of the town and walk over the love lock bridge. Bakewell has a popular market every Monday and a farmers’ market one Saturday a month.

The picturesque towns of Matlock and Buxton are easily accessible from Bakewell. Bakewell is also the perfect base to visit Chatsworth House including its farmyard and playground for younger visitors, the farm shop and formal gardens. Haddon Hall is also 10 minutes’ drive away. For keen walkers you are perfectly located to access both the white and dark peak areas of the National Park. For the less adventurous there are local walks that can be done from the house including the Monsal trail which runs along the old Matlock to Buxton railway line and now is flat, car free walking and cycling route.

At the heart of this property is a large, well-equipped kitchen which has everything you should require to cook a filling breakfast ahead of your fun-filled day. It is a great social space too with a relaxing sofa area. The dining room is located in the conservatory with a large table to seat 8 people, two easy chairs, views of the garden and far-reaching views across Bakewell to the golf course and Manners Wood. There is a separate sitting room with electric feature fire, TV, sofa and easy chairs. The lower ground floor provides a separate area as a games room for the kids to have their own space, with a popular football table. On the first floor are two of the four bedrooms. The master bedroom features an en-suite shower room and a super kingsize bed which can be made up as twin beds on request. The family bathroom is also on the first floor and features a bath and a separate shower cubicle. Relatively steep stairs rise to the second floor with a landing providing access to two further bedrooms, one of which is super kingsize with a dual aspect, and far-reaching views which include the River Wye as it meanders through the town.

Every room within the property is finished to a standard of excellence. Outside, the property is approached via a driveway, providing access to a large, gravelled parking area with space for four cars and space to turn. To the side of the property is a lovely garden, ideal for sitting out during the morning, and a patio area immediately adjoining the conservatory with seating for 10 people.

Rock Mews is located just a short walk up from Bakewell town centre, within easy reach of shops, bars, cafés and restaurants. There are magnificent views across the market town of Bakewell from all areas of the garden, and Rock Mews provides the perfect base within this popular Peak District town. From the town you can get onto the Monsal Trail, which is great for cycling as well as walking. If you haven’t got any bikes, bike hiring is available on the trail at Hassop café. Neighbouring towns such as Buxton and Matlock are lovely places to visit and explore, both offering their own independent characters, and of course not to be missed are nearby Chatsworth House and Gardens and Haddon Hall, both within 5 minutes’ drive of Bakewell.

Coach House is situated in the heart of this popular Derbyshire village, near to the market town of Bakewell and home to the most photographed bridge in Britain which crosses the river Wye. There is plenty to experience and explore all within walking distance, so you can park the car and enjoy your break away at a more leisurely pace.
Here you are within walking distance of the village shop, tearoom and a friendly pub serving great food. For busy days out, the town of Bakewell is just over a mile away with Buxton being a little further. The historic houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away too and are well worth a visit.
As you arrive down the private driveway of the Coach House, you will find ample parking for your cars, alongside a groomed, lawned garden and patio area. On the ground floor is an open plan kitchen and dining area offering the ideal place to unwind after a busy day, whilst the kitchen offers all the appliances you should require to rustle up a good breakfast before your fun-filled day. On the ground floor of Crawshaw Cottage is an open-plan kitchen and diner with patio doors backing onto the lawned garden. The kitchen has everything in place for you to prepare a delicious meal which can be enjoyed around the dining room table, and there is also a sofa area here with a small TV. The sitting room offers ample seating to relax and enjoy a series or film on the Smart TV, a toilet is also available on the ground floor.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, the master is a kingsize bed with TV and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom is made up of two twin beds which can be linked together to make a super-kingsize bed if requested, the third bedroom is a small room and only has a bunk bed with 4ft double on the bottom bunk and single bed on top. There is also a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Outside is a private garden which is enclosed and has garden furniture. You also have access to the garage where you can store bikes/luggage, and the driveway provides parking for one car but there is ample street parking directly outside as well.
Buxton has a lot to offer for holiday makers, there are countless walking routes close by such as Solomans Temple or hop in the car to Tissington or High Peak trail. Castleton is a short drive where you can walk or explore the caverns or take a trip to Chatsworth House. Buxton town centre has many delicious restaurants, pubs and bars as well as independent cafés, a 5* spa plus the opera house with shows on weekly. Alton Towers is a short 45 minute drive away. There is something for all the family in this great area of the Peak District. Pub within 1 mile.

Bradley Hall, built in 1774, has retained many of its original features including fireplaces, flagstone and wooden floors, mullion windows and shutters. The ground floor comprises a kitchen/pantry with a gas range cooker and the dining room has a dining table to seat eight comfortably. A south-facing garden completes this lovely historic property, and also makes the ideal place for relaxing with a glass of wine or al-fresco dining in the warm, balmy summer evenings, since there also an outdoor table seating eight guests where you can dine in style. Other places of interest within easy driving distance include the breath taking Curbar Edge, Bakewell with its famous pudding shop, Crich Tramway Museum, Cromford World Heritage Site, and Carsington Water with its visitor centre. Matlock has a wide range of shops, together with many pubs in and around the area serving food. There is also a cocktail bar, Indian and Italian restaurants, and a well-reputed fine dining restaurant. This really is a fabulous base from which to explore the Peak District National Park which is steeped in fascinating history and culture. Golf and fishing can also be found nearby. A 10-minute stroll leads you past a superb garden centre with restaurant, and in the village centre of Darley Dale here you’ll find a Co-op, petrol station, a bar and restaurant and two cafés, one overlooks a beautifully maintained Victorian park with a gorgeous duck pond.
