Mam Tor and Bradwell Edge are probably the most famous local viewpoints and are well worth a visit, with the outstanding breathtaking scenery as a reward. Golf, horse riding, hand gliding, rock climbing, caving and fishing are also available throughout the area.
The beautiful honeypot village of Castleton and the larger village of Tideswell are both around a 10-minute drive away. In nearby Hathersage, also 10 minutes’, you will find excellent amenities together with a seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool. The ever popular market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and the spa town of Buxton can all be reached in under half an hour, and for any big (or little) kids, Alton Towers theme park is around an hour away. There are excellent transport links to and from the village with Hope railway station only minutes away, being on the direct line for Manchester and Sheffield.
