    As you enter Deer View Retreat, you will be welcomed into the entrance area with patio doors opening out into the garden, the perfect cosy spot to enjoy a mug of coffee with a good book. This then leads through to the open plan living and dining area where you can wind down and watch a film after a busy day exploring the coastline or enjoy a family meal together. Enjoy your breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen whilst taking in the far reaching views, the stag with his magnificent antlers and the ever-changing scenery. There’s also a handy utility area next door.
    Discover the two stylish bedrooms and the bathroom on the first floor. The first has a double bed, the second is furnished with zip and link twin beds, and the shower room is fitted with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink.
    The town of Ottery St. Mary has beautiful architecture and historic buildings lining the streets, backed by rural Devonshire countryside.     Palm View is a delightful holiday property situated just outside of the town of Paignton, a seaside town making up part of the beautiful English Riviera and close to the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel. This pet friendly bungalow benefits off road parking and picturesque garden and is just a 10-minute downhill walk into the town.
    As you enter Palm View you find yourself in the bright and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen area. With fully equipped kitchen and central island, perfect for rustling up a good meal. The living/dining area is alongside this with comfortable sofa seating, Freeview TV and glimpses of the sea. This area as a whole is very social with doors opening out onto the rear garden, a great set up for hosting those summer barbecues for family and friends. The rear garden is a lovely area to sit out in with various plants/shrubs and seating on the decked area. There is also a large studio in the back garden which guests can use as a games room/lounge area with sofa seating. Back into the property and there are three good sized bedrooms, sleeping up to seven guests! The main bedroom contains a double bed and has fitted wardrobes for guests use.     Just up the road from Palm View are Primley Woods, a large field and wooded area which is great for walking those four legged friends. Just a short walk downhill into the first part of the town is where you can find several takeaways, shops and pubs as well as a laundrette if needed. A bit further into town and onto Paignton seafront and beach with its arcades, pier, mini golf course and various pubs/restaurants often hosting live music. Paignton harbour also has some good quality new restaurants, especially for seafood. If guests are wanting to explore the local area as well as Paignton, the nearby towns of Torquay with its marina, the famous fishing town of Brixham and Dartmouth and Kingswear are a relatively short drive away, as is the nearby city of Exeter. The town is only a 15 minute walk and only a 20 minute walk from the coast.

The doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and ramps can be provided over the doorways if requested, however please note the property hasn’t been specifically set-up for wheelchair users so the kitchen and bathrooms may not be suitable The accommodation feels bright and welcoming with high beamed ceilings, underfloor heating throughout and plenty of large windows, patio doors and sliding doors seamlessly blending the living spaces with the outdoor landscape. Guests will love the rural tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies, distant views of Dartmoor and beautiful scenery that this perfect get away can offer.
    The large kitchen is fully equipped with a farmhouse cooker with two ovens and an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a washing machine.     This three-bedroomed chocolate-box Grade II thatched cottage sits within Cockington Country Park, 450 acres of heaven less than a mile from the sea. The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has a super kingsize bed that can be split to form two single beds (please ensure this is requested if required). The third bedroom has a double bed. Whilst a cot is not provided, the first two bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. Two z-beds are available and can be sited in rooms 1 and 2.
    Between Easter and October, we operate a Tea Garden at the rear of the property between 10am and 5pm. Your privacy is not impinged, your courtyard garden is private and the Tea Garden’s kitchen, although in the same building, is secured from the rest of the cottage. Weavers cottage is situated in a fantastic position for exploring the historic and well-regarded village of Cockington.
    Not to mention being just a stone’s throw from Torquay seafront and harbourside with its array of bars/restaurants. There are plenty of beautiful nearby walks and the cottage is situated right in the heart of the English Riviera for ease of access exploring everything the South Hams has to offer.
