Shewte Farm is an elegant, Grade II listed, galleried stone barn and has a floor-to-ceiling picture window offering spectacular views over Dartmoor. Sleeping six comfortably in three spacious bedrooms, it has an open plan living space with French limestone floor, underfloor heating and a wood burner. It has been furnished throughout with characterful antiques and the highest quality linen. Guests also have use of the adjoining games barn and the tree house.
The location is idyllic and ever so peaceful, set in the middle of 80 acres of fields, woods and streams set between the National Park and National Trust land. The area is exceptionally rich in wildlife including buzzards, deer, otters (part of National England Otter Survey) and sky larks, as well as England’s largest collection of bog myrtle. The location is perfect for walking or cycling on Dartmoor, visiting numerous beaches or National Trust properties. Despite this rural setting not far from Bovey Tracey, which include an excellent delicatessen, butcher, baker and restaurants. Beach 10 miles. Shops and restaurants 1½ miles.

The Cider Barn is a luxurious and spacious three-bedroom holiday home with a hot tub, two bathrooms and a large private garden set in the heart of Devon. Originally a 17th-century farmstead, the accommodation has been refurbished to a high standard for up to six guests to enjoy, and the property feels stylish and beautiful with its unique interiors. The barn is attached to the back of the owner’s farmhouse but guests will have private access with their own front door and driveway space, enough for up to four cars.
As you enter, you will be welcomed into the hallway area which has bench seating, a washer/dryer, and is perfect for hanging coats up and kicking off those wellies after a bracing walk in the countryside. The spacious living room is comfortably furnished with a large corner sofa, Smart TV with Freeview and a gas wood burner. One of the kingsize bedrooms is located on the ground floor and there is a handy shower room across the hallway.
Head upstairs to discover the other two kingsize bedrooms, one of which has zip and link beds and can be set up with twin beds if requested. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. The elegant kitchen/diner is also located on the first floor, making the most of the beautiful views across the countryside. It is well equipped with all the key appliances and offers plenty of space to enjoy a meal together sat at the large dining table.
The secluded garden is a fantastic space to relax and unwind in with its lawn, seating area, charcoal barbeque and private wood-fired hot tub backing onto the surrounding fields. A pizza oven can be rented for a small fee and trout fishing is also available on request. There are two footpaths meandering through the owner’s land which can be accessed 100m from the front door of The Cider Barn, leading off into the fields or to the local pubs which serve the most delicious food.
The historic cathedral city of Exeter is 12 miles away with easy parking and a direct rail link from Crediton. The scenic national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor are within a 40-minute drive away. Dartmoor is a vast moorland defined by forests, rivers, wetlands, and tors (rock formations). The South Devon ‘Jurassic’ coast is a 50-minute drive away while the rugged North Devon coast and surfing beaches are a 60-minute drive away. The Cider Barn is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

Palm View is a delightful holiday property situated just outside of the town of Paignton, a seaside town making up part of the beautiful English Riviera and close to the beautiful village of Stoke Gabriel. This pet friendly bungalow benefits off road parking and picturesque garden and is just a 10-minute downhill walk into the town.
As you enter Palm View you find yourself in the bright and airy open plan living/dining/kitchen area. With fully equipped kitchen and central island, perfect for rustling up a good meal. The living/dining area is alongside this with comfortable sofa seating, Freeview TV and glimpses of the sea. This area as a whole is very social with doors opening out onto the rear garden, a great set up for hosting those summer barbecues for family and friends. The rear garden is a lovely area to sit out in with various plants/shrubs and seating on the decked area. There is also a large studio in the back garden which guests can use as a games room/lounge area with sofa seating. Back into the property and there are three good sized bedrooms, sleeping up to seven guests! The main bedroom contains a double bed and has fitted wardrobes for guests use. The second bedroom also contains a double bed and the third bedroom has a double bed with single bunk over, a great room for children or adults alike. The family shower room in the property boasts a walk-in shower and stylish his and hers sinks.
Just up the road from Palm View are Primley Woods, a large field and wooded area which is great for walking those four legged friends. Just a short walk downhill into the first part of the town is where you can find several takeaways, shops and pubs as well as a laundrette if needed. A bit further into town and onto Paignton seafront and beach with its arcades, pier, mini golf course and various pubs/restaurants often hosting live music. Paignton harbour also has some good quality new restaurants, especially for seafood. If guests are wanting to explore the local area as well as Paignton, the nearby towns of Torquay with its marina, the famous fishing town of Brixham and Dartmouth and Kingswear are a relatively short drive away, as is the nearby city of Exeter. The town is only a 15 minute walk and only a 20 minute walk from the coast.

The village boasts 3 miles of golden sands, great surfing waves and a coastal footpath where numerous walks can be taken directly from the property. Although the apartment is in a tranquil location, there are shops, cafes, restaurants and a boutique cinema in a local hotel too, all just a 10-minute stroll away! Families can enjoy spending the day by the sea, patrolled by lifeguards in the summer, building sandcastles, exploring rockpools and enjoying beautiful sunsets, one of the spectacles regularly enjoyed by locals and surfers. The doorways are wide enough for wheelchairs and ramps can be provided over the doorways if requested, however please note the property hasn’t been specifically set-up for wheelchair users so the kitchen and bathrooms may not be suitable The accommodation feels bright and welcoming with high beamed ceilings, underfloor heating throughout and plenty of large windows, patio doors and sliding doors seamlessly blending the living spaces with the outdoor landscape. Guests will love the rural tranquil location with plenty of wildlife, starry skies, distant views of Dartmoor and beautiful scenery that this perfect get away can offer.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with a farmhouse cooker with two ovens and an induction hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and a washing machine. There are three comfortably furnished bedrooms. The master has a kingsize bed, an en-suite shower room and patio doors opening out onto the beautiful decked area. This three-bedroomed chocolate-box Grade II thatched cottage sits within Cockington Country Park, 450 acres of heaven less than a mile from the sea. The cottage has three good-sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six adults. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room, the second bedroom has a super kingsize bed that can be split to form two single beds (please ensure this is requested if required). The third bedroom has a double bed. Whilst a cot is not provided, the first two bedrooms can accommodate a travel cot. Two z-beds are available and can be sited in rooms 1 and 2.
Between Easter and October, we operate a Tea Garden at the rear of the property between 10am and 5pm. Your privacy is not impinged, your courtyard garden is private and the Tea Garden’s kitchen, although in the same building, is secured from the rest of the cottage. Weavers cottage is situated in a fantastic position for exploring the historic and well-regarded village of Cockington.
Not to mention being just a stone’s throw from Torquay seafront and harbourside with its array of bars/restaurants. There are plenty of beautiful nearby walks and the cottage is situated right in the heart of the English Riviera for ease of access exploring everything the South Hams has to offer.

Only moments away from the delightful beach at Combe Martin, Sunset sits at the heart of this seaside village. Tastefully furnished and well-appointed, this semi-detached holiday cottage is an ideal place to spend time unwinding and exploring this beautiful part of Devon. Just a short walk from the beach - an ideal place to spend the day with its many rock pools to explore or for an evening stroll as the sun goes down. The owners of the farm are keen for guests to experience life on the farm and there are opportunities to see the cows being milked, feeding the calves and collecting eggs from the chickens. There is also an on-site shop selling local meats and other produce as well as some of the freshest milk around. Guests can enjoy the surrounding land with walks around the farm. There are well-stocked lakes for those who fancy a relaxing day of fishing.

West Middlewick Farm is located just outside the Wiltshire village of Nomansland. With well-maintained roads, the farm is in a great position to get out and about and experience all this lovely area of Devon has to offer.

The popular market town of South Molton has a weekly farmers’ market and a variety of shops, antique and curio shops, pubs and restaurants. Barnstaple, 12 miles, has a theatre, cinema and leisure activities, and places of interest include the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk. Other family attractions in the area include RHS gardens at Rosemoor, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Kilarney Springs, Exmoor Zoo and the Dinosaur Park. Spectacular beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe and Westward Ho! are all within easy driving distance. Sailing, windsurfing and fishing can be enjoyed at Tamar Lakes and Wimbleball Lake, or visit the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks for a fun filled day of exploration. Beach 33 miles. As you enter Suzie’s Pad, a useful porch area presents itself, which is ideal for hanging up coats and keeping those sandy shoes after a long day at the beach. The main downstairs living room with a Smart TV is open plan with the dining area, whilst the separate kitchen is fully equipped and benefits from a breakfast bar. A door leads from the kitchen to the rear decked courtyard garden, with sensor light, outside tap and a large outdoor table, chairs and parasol. Through the back gate is the allocated parking space. Upstairs on the first floor are both bathrooms; a shower room and a bathroom with bath and shower attachment. All three bedrooms are located on the first floor and comprise two double and one twin. Hanging rails and storage are provided in all of the bedrooms to organise those messy suitcases!
Suzie’s Pad is situated within a 10-minute walk of Torquay seafront and is also ideally situated for access to Torquay train station, just a ¾-mile walk away.
