    North Devon has plenty to see and do, and is home to some of the best beaches in the country including Woolacombe and Saunton. The nearest beach is at Instow and is ideal for children or just a great place to walk off life’s stresses, and then enjoy a meal or drink at one of the pubs and restaurants along the front. The town of Great Torrington is only a short drive away and has most amenities you may require. The larger regional town of Barnstaple has a busy high street, the Pannier Market and famous Butchers Row. There are numerous places of interest close by including the RHS gardens at Rosemoor, Dartington Crystal and the historic fishing village at Clovelly. For the younger ones a visit to the Big Sheep or Milky Way Adventure Parks is a good option. There is walking on Dartmoor or hire a bike and cycle the Tarka Trail, and there is also golf and fishing available locally.

The stunning beaches of the North Devon coast are less than 10 miles away - with sailing, fishing and a sandy beach at Instow, surfing at Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Putsborough and Woolacombe, as well as lofty cliffs and headlands along the rocky fringes of Hartland.     Wing at Warham (ref UK34716) is a stunning four bedroom cottage which has been lovingly brought up to date with quality fixtures and fittings throughout with comfortable furniture and lovely attention to detail. There is a gorgeous en-suite with clawfoot bath to the large master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. There are two double bedrooms and a single with a sofa bed upstairs and downstairs you will find the other double bedroom along with a beautifully laid out living/dining room with a snug area where you can sit in front of the wood burner. There is a cosy sofa section where you can curl up and watch your favourite movie or enjoy some fun family times with the games console provided. The gorgeous kitchen oozes quality with a breakfast bar where you can socialise with a coffee from the Nespresso machine while dinner is being prepared on the quality range cooker. Outdoors is a real pleasure because of the peaceful and spacious surroundings. Enjoy the unspoilt countryside views and take a walk around the grounds or sit on the private patio where you can tuck into a barbecue and then sit round the stone firepit into the evening.
    Surrounded by well tendered gardens, guests also have access across the surrounding land down to the privately owned 2 miles of river bank along the River Torridge, where, by arrangement you can fly fish for sea and brown trout and wild salmon. Despite its quiet location, the cottages are ideally located for those wanting to get out and explore the charming north Devon coast and countryside. There are stunning beaches at Woolacombe and Sandymouth. Enjoy a day out at Hartland and visit the lighthouse, Hartland Quay and the historic fishing village at Clovelly.     As you enter, you will be welcomed into the hallway area which has bench seating, a washer/dryer, and is perfect for hanging coats up and kicking off those wellies after a bracing walk in the countryside.
