The well-equipped kitchen and dining room combine a large original 19th Century farmhouse table, American style fridge/freezer and tall larder fridge, and ample cutlery and crockery alongside two dishwashers to create the perfect hassle-free space to host family gatherings or reunions amongst friends.

Old Dairy Cottage is located just 5 miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast and South West Coastal Path and is an ideal one bedroom holiday home retreat for keen walkers and nature lovers. It is excellent holiday accommodation for those wishing to enjoy some wonderful scenic coast or country walking, perhaps with the dog. It’s one of six homes surrounding a former farmyard which has been transformed with lawns, trees and perennials. This cosy and characterful property enjoys views across a wild valley, perfect for guests in search of a relaxing break. Its proximity to the local village pub, ¼ mile, shop, 1½ miles and coast just 5 miles, makes it an enviable location.

Stepping inside, on the ground floor there is a cosy living room with a gas effect wood burner, lovely to snuggle in front of on chillier evenings. The spacious dining room is perfect for enjoying meals or playing games together while the well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need for your stay. There is a ground floor bathroom off the rear lobby. Heading upstairs you will find two lovely bedrooms, one double and one with super kingsize bed that can be made into twin beds on request. There is a further large shower room also on this floor. Outside you will find an enclosed rear garden, set on two tiers both laid to patio with an ample seating area to enjoy.
A short walk takes you into the market town of Bridport, with its wonderful mixture of independent and larger stores, cafes and restaurants, and its artists and vintage quarter and Wednesday and Saturday markets to explore and enjoy. Bridport, known as Dorset’s ‘eventful town’, is famous for its many festivals and special events such as the Hat Festival (first weekend in September). There are three arts venues and several live music venues.
Many miles of country walks can be taken straight from the front door or why not jump in the car and explore the numerous Jurassic Coast beaches of nearby West Bay (famous for TV shows Broadchurch and Harbour Lights), Lyme Regis with its Victorian promenade, or fossil hunting on Lyme Regis and Charmouth beaches.
Further afield you have Weymouth with its stretch of sandy beach, Abbotsbury with its Swannery or head inland to Dorchester with its many museums, or one of the many National Trust properties nearby.
