For people who enjoy fishing, the owner provides coarse fishing free of charge (fishing licence required) for the fishing pond, which is just along the lane. In 15 minutes, guests can walk from the property down through the village lanes to the beach. It provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore the east coast of Yorkshire and what it has to offer. Close by, visit the famous RSPB Bempton Cliffs, where you can observe puffins and gannets in their natural habitat. There are some fantastic walks and cycle rides along the rugged cliffs of the east coast, some of it being part of the Cleveland Way. Just 8 miles down the coast, visit the hustle and bustle of the traditional seaside resort of Bridlington. With its working fishing port, you can see the catch brought in on the quayside.     Grade II Listed, Baker’s Cottage dates back to the 17th century and sits in the heart of the pretty village of Hotham near to Beverley, Market Weighton and Pocklington, the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds. It’s ideally placed to explore the network of beautiful walks and miles of cycle routes.
    The spacious hall with an original York stone flagged floor leads you to the large country-style kitchen/dining area, offering lovely views across the garden. The living room has deep sofas where you can relax and watch your favourite movie. To the front of the property is a double bedroom with lovely views of the pretty cottage garden. A shower room with WC lies in between the sitting room and bedroom. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a free-standing slipper bath and a separate shower.
