Oaklands wedding venue is situated in the 150 acres of woodland that surround the properties. Struncheon Hill Farm is a haven for those who enjoy having fun around water with a river, lake and pond nearby. Fishing, canal cruises and a Jet Ski and Diving School are less than half a mile from the door. Visitors will find locally an 18-hole golf course, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, a parachute and gliding centre, and an RSPB bird sanctuary.

West End Farmhouse stands proud in the peaceful village of Ulrome, close to the beautiful rugged Yorkshire Coast. This detached holiday property is excellent for families, as there is a very large garden for the children to run around in and a little Wendy house for them to play in. There is also a fantastic terraced area, which is ideal for a barbecue, and in addition, a boot room with a stairgate and storage for bikes and boots. For people who enjoy fishing, the owner provides coarse fishing free of charge (fishing licence required) for the fishing pond, which is just along the lane. In 15 minutes, guests can walk from the property down through the village lanes to the beach. It provides an excellent base for those wishing to explore the east coast of Yorkshire and what it has to offer. Close by, visit the famous RSPB Bempton Cliffs, where you can observe puffins and gannets in their natural habitat. There are some fantastic walks and cycle rides along the rugged cliffs of the east coast, some of it being part of the Cleveland Way. Grade II Listed, Baker’s Cottage dates back to the 17th century and sits in the heart of the pretty village of Hotham near to Beverley, Market Weighton and Pocklington, the gateway to the Yorkshire Wolds. There’s an abundance of restaurants in Beverley to meet every taste. Both Hull and York are within a short drive, where you can explore many museums, theatres and centuries of history. For those of you who enjoy horse racing, Beverley and York have excellent courses providing flat racing. The North Cave Wetlands Nature Reserve is only a mile away and is a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust site with a fantastic array of wetland and migrating birds, as well as lots of other wildlife.

The property is situated at the edge of a family working arable with the owners breeding horses, which can be introduced to on request of the owners. Bridlington is famous for its fishing fleet and the fresh lobster and crabs which are landed daily. This popular town is packed with things to keep you entertained from a long walk on the promenade, wide sandy beaches and a plethora of amusement arcades and fish and chip restaurants.
This area is also a walkers and bird watchers paradise. There are miles of footpaths to explore as well as the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs and the imposing Flamborough Head which juts out into the English Channel.
