Cherry Burton is a quaint village with a real sense of community. The well stocked village shop is also a few doors away. The surrounding area of the Yorkshire Wolds inspired the famous David Hockney paintings, and walkers and cyclists can enjoy the gentle undulating hills and stunning scenery. Visit the delightful market town of Beverley less than a 10-minute drive away with a beautiful Minster, historical buildings and cobbled streets, bordered by pavement cafés and fine dining restaurants. Beverley hosts spectacular music festivals and numerous farmers’ markets, as well as horse racing at the Westwood racecourse. A day at the races is a great excuse to get dressed up whilst having a flutter.
For days out on the coast, Hornsea is just 30 minutes away with a golden beach stretching for miles all the way to Bridlington. The coastline here is glorious. The port city of Hull is also only 30 minutes away with attractions including The Deep, a huge aquarium housing over 3,500 fish, the Ferens art gallery, the Maritime Museum and the Hull Truck Theatre.

The owners offer their guests a free daily session with their dog at Hunsdale Fields. Both 3-acre and 5-acre fields are fully enclosed, where each customer has the exclusive use to let their dog exercise off the lead, without the distractions of other dogs or their owners.

This superbly restored, former estate stone cottage offers excellent terraced holiday accommodation in the heart of the village of Brantingham opposite the picturesque village pond and green. It has modern internal features, including high speed fibre broadband, a bespoke kitchen, feature brick barbecue, patio furniture and sun umbrella for an al fresco meal, wood burning stove and an oak staircase, leading to galleried landing with a desk and views of the village green. Situated on the very popular Bridlington Links golf course site, Yorkshire Rose is a very spacious, detached log cabin on a beautiful park with woodland walks and picturesque surroundings. The club house is just a short stroll from the lodge where there is a popular restaurant and bar which can be used by non-members and there is also a gym available (payable at the office). The bar area leads out onto a veranda with stunning sea views where you can sit and enjoy a meal or drink. The 18-hole golf course is next to the site and guests staying at the lodge will enjoy a 25% discount.
Sewerby Hall is accessed via a path from the lodges. This stunning, Georgian mansion has award winning gardens and a zoo for the children to visit. With over 50 acres of parkland there are plenty of places to enjoy a picnic along the clifftop, or catch the land train that runs between the hall and Bridlington.
Bridlington, boasting a wonderful sandy beach, is a traditional seaside resort for families, yet is still a very busy working harbour. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and the Bridlington Spa Theatre is very popular with international acts and shows.
To the north of the links you can walk to Danes Dyke Nature Reserve where there are some wonderful nature and wildlife walks. It is a great, dog-friendly place to take the children and wander amongst the wooded areas down to the shoreline. Paths from here lead to Flamborough Head, originally a small fishing village with spectacular white chalk cliffs and rugged clifftop pathways.
The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away and here you can see the thousands of migrating seabirds especially the puffins. Scarborough and Whitby are further up the coast, both very popular holiday destinations. Beach 400 yards. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 400 yards.
