Blockley boasts two village pubs, plus a community-run shop and tearooms which is at the heart of the village and where the friendly locals meet. There are many scenic walks from the doorstep around the village, Dove Dale Woods and into the countryside.
There are many other towns and villages to explore where you’ll find traditional cafés, independent shops and an array of pubs and restaurants including Broadway, where you can visit Broadway Tower, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water; where you can sit along the shallow River Windrush. It is also close to the International Centre for birds of prey and the Three Choirs Vineyard nearby for a spot of bird watching followed by some wine tasting. Within easy reach of the picturesque Wye Valley, including Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. Adrenalin junkies are well catered for too, in Gloucester you have the dry ski slope for a day of boarding or tobogganing, off road cycling and treetop rope adventures to be found within the Forest of Dean.
