Leygreen Farmhouse is a detached house located on a country lane outside Beaulieu this beautiful building was once a B&B, but is now a lovely holiday home for friends and families to enjoy together. It offers six spacious bedrooms, five of which are en-suite and one with use of the adjacent shower room. The property has a very spacious kitchen with a breakfast bar and an Aga for you to use. There is a wonderful dining room for you to all sit down and enjoy a meal together before heading into the cosy living room with its open fire. The property has an enclosed garden with plenty of areas to sit outside to read a book, enjoy a refreshing drink or make use of the barbecue. A private chef is available by prior arrangement with the owner, at cost.
Leygreen Farmhouse is 1-mile outside of Beaulieu, a delightful village and will be worth a visit, with adorable gift shops and tea rooms and with the Beaulieu National Motor Museum there is enough to keep everyone entertained for the day. The New Forest National Park provides plenty of opportunities including incredible walks where you will see free roaming cattle, ponies and donkeys, you can go canoeing and kayaking, cycling and there is also archery to try your hand at. At the Lymington Salt Water Baths there is a 218 yard inflatable obstacle course, hot tubs, paddle boarding, and aqua jousting. You can drive to the ferry that will take you to the stunning Isle of Wight for the day, or Bournemouth, which has been voted the UK’s best beach numerous times. Pay a visit to Hurst Castle, Exbury Gardens, the New Forest Reptile Centre, and Paultons Park with Peppa Pig World. There is so much to do nearby that the most difficult thing you will have to do during your break is deciding which activities you want to do during your stay. Beach 20 miles. Brockenhurst is nearby, as is the popular sailing town of Lymington, which is only a 5-minute drive, with its pretty harbour, fishing trips, cobbled streets, boutiques, pubs, restaurants and day trips by ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Other places of interest nearby include Beaulieu Motor Museum, the riverside village of Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens, Marwell Zoo, Peppa Pig World and New Forest Owl and Otter Park, to name but a few. Further afield, but well worth the trip, are Monkey World and the Tank Museum at Bovington. The New Forest National Park offers thousands of acres of moor, heath and woodlands, where ponies and cattle roam free, and is perfect for walking, cycling and riding. You may also see wild deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits. The New Forest is a genuine walker’s paradise and also a fantastic place for cycling, with miles of traffic free tracks. Farm shops, pubs, tea rooms, an excellent restaurant and a church are within 5 minutes of the property. There is a riding school nearby offering hacks across the forest for both the beginner and more experienced rider. Located in a breathtaking setting, completely enveloped in the rolling countryside which is has wildlife in abundance, this attractive, brick and flint holiday cottage makes a romantic and peaceful retreat, ideal for couples and walkers. As the name suggests, Drovers Cottage was formerly a place of rest for drovers (modern day livestock transporters), who travelled hundreds and hundreds of miles with their animals and needed somewhere to rest. The group of fir trees, which still remain to this day, were an easily recognisable landmark even from afar. The fields surrounding the cottage are of archaeological interest, as they were used as Roman camps and often oyster shells can be found, these were brought in barrels from the coast for the Roman warriors to eat, and they tossed the shells into the fields.
Having been totally renovated, Drovers Cottage offers tasteful and well-presented accommodation, and is within easy walking distance to the quaint thatched-roof village, with its shop, beautiful church and two pubs serving good food. This picturesque village is steeped in history, it has a bronze burial in the parish, which dates back to 2000BC. Garden Cottage 1 is one of two self-catering properties situated within the owners’ beautiful gardens. Garden Cottage 1 is a cosy ground floor holiday home surrounded by rolling countryside situated in between the town of Haslemere and the village of Liphook. Sleeping two, it has a bedroom with kingsize bed, and a lovely bathroom with bath and shower over. Looking out to the garden is a light and airy open plan kitchen/diner and living room/conservatory with everything you could need for a very comfortable break away including full kitchen and Smart TV.
The cottage is located on the edge of the much prized village of Bramshott just 2 miles from Liphook village offering a range of local shopping, including a supermarket and mainline station. The larger village of Grayshott is 3 miles away offering an extensive collection of day to day shopping needs including a popular butcher and independent vintner, doctor’s surgery, two mini supermarkets and a collection of restaurants and a public house.
